For the longest time, his 92 playoff run was considered the best by many.

His stats are mightily impressive for that year and even more impressive when you consider the era he did that in.

Yeah, it's funny how the deep ball was always his weakest pass, and I don't mean that literally.

The guy most definitely had the arm to get the ball out there and yet so very often it was underthrown even on long balls that were in the 40 yard range.

The only thing I can think of was that the guy was so incredibly accurate that maybe he subconsciously was trying to place the ball even on the long vertical passes as opposed to just letting it fly.

Bullard is health dependent, they might do some shenanigans with the roster to open up a spot but keep him on IR until October or something.

They won't. It would be a ballsy move but this wasn't just a fourth round pick, this was the dude but this is the guy that bragged as being sort of the steal of the fourth round. A guy they had a third round grade on. No way they reverse course after some bad preseason games and move on from him. I also disagree that he won't be picked up. People put way too much stock in preseason performances compared to what actual NFL teams do. I guarantee most NFL teams would put far more weight on the draft grade they had on the guy 4 months ago.

Yeah, especially if he isn't even healthy yet. This wasn't some big signing. This was one of those dumpster diving signings. Not a guy worth keeping active because when he gets healthy he is going to be a massive boost to the roster. Just someone you stash away knowing you may need him later.

Do we know that Adams in particular pushed for Shelton? I hadn't heard that.

And I've been wondering this... Doesn't it seem like this idea that you must keep a fourth rounder is relatively new? Seems like in the day a fourth not making the team wasn't so unheard of, that fourth and later you were just hoping to get a player.
