Prospects Dallas Has Shown Interest In - 2026

He seems to be charming the shit out of everyone on the road of pro days.

Not really sure what that accomplishes but we shall see I guess.
He is kinda doing the Pete Carroll thingie, but way younger.

I am not feeling it yet, but he looks like he is trying hard to connect with the yutes.

Anybody feel like the Cowboys are doing way more dinners then any previous years? Like we took Texas AM players to dinner the night before their pro day. Is this a strategy to get to know guys? Like are we trying to befriend all the draft prospects for down the road? Just kind of interesting but we seem to be taking everyone out to dinner.

Seems like a good way to just get to know these players in a more relaxed setting.

Jerry must have gotten some gift cards for his birthday.

I'm thinking cap boi is probably thinking he can get a better deal on a future contract if he can tell the player he already bought them dinner once.

Plus the inevitable "Konga Line" references by announcers when we get a sack.

Yeah but it's a lot of projection because he didn't really use that athleticism in college to rush the passer at all. I have no problem rolling the dice on that and hoping we can tap the potential. But that's a day three move.

Look at Jay Ratliff though. That guy basically had no production in college. But he was a killer athlete. Hell he barely even played DT in college. I think he went from TE to DE and only played like one year of DT. Anyway, my point is simply I'm ok hunting killer athletes on the D-line on day three. I'm hoping we now have the coaches in place to develop those types of guys.

Yeah for sure, this is the time for fast rising prospects. It usually settles a bit by the draft.

High? Probably not. It is a deep class, but they will likely go after one in the fifth.

Fifth I'm good with. I'll take anyone who is a solid starter in the fifth regardless of position. Because most picks in the fifth, sixth and seventh round are going to wash out in the NFL. I don't care about position, find me a guy who can become an NFL starter and position no longer matters to me at that point.

Stowers isn't making it to the fifth though. I'd be shocked if he made it to 92. Guy is a freak athlete. 4.51 forty, 45 inch verticle and at 6'4" 239 pounds those are kind of insane explosion numbers. He was also really productive in college as a receiver. 769 yards receiving with a highish yards per reception for a TE. Anyway, here I am now talking myself into looking at a freaking TE.
