I think I'd sooner draft Kyle McCord. Big time prospect out of highschool. Won a bunch of games at Ohio State, went to Syracus and dominated as a passer. But that's just a shot in the dark like all of the QBs in this class. The only guy to really like much is actually Ward in my opinion. But he has some of that Winston in him where he just can't help but throw the ball places he shouldn't.

Yeah, I'd much rather have McCord too.

I'd be fine effectively trading Dak for Shedeur straight up (i.e. trading Dak for the 2nd pick, etc.), or taking Shedeur at 12 if he/Deion basically say they won't play anywhere else.

The only scenario I wouldn't be fine with is actually trading assets (excluding Dak) to move up for him.

Would the Eli Manning strategy even work now? Especially when we're outside the top 10. Might be different if we were at 5 or 6.

Why not?

Maybe a team would try to take him and hold him hostage but if that were the case I'd go on my merry way, make our pick at 12, and let the other team cave in a trade once they realize their top 10 pick isn't going to play for them.

Total clickbait. Jerry wouldn't get rid of Dak and it would cost us way too much to trade up that high in the draft.

Teams have came up from further back than that, so it's certainly doable. Smart? No. But this is Jerry we're talking about. Deion has already said he wants to coach his son. And if Jerry thought he could get both coach and son..?

What if he refuses to play for anyone else. Most wouldn't pass up the money but he actually can afford to.

Would be a weird tampering dynamic too. I mean can a dad tamper with his kid?

I've never heard of him mentioned in the first round even. Don't know much about the guy.
I live in the state and only know that he won the national DB award.

Barron is very legit but 12 is completely idiotic, if we were picking in the 20's, maybe, but I'd probably still go elsewhere like DL.

He's a late 1/early 2 type and anybody talking about him at 12 is completely out of their gourd.

Yeah, on the Cowboys draft show Bryan likes to talk about him like it's his second best corner (Behind Hunter) but I definitely don't see that type of ability. But he really doesn't like Will Johnson. I'd have to be really impressed with a corner to take one in the first though. And I like Will Johnson a decent amount but I wouldn't be thrilled with him at 12.

I think Barron is the 3rd best CB after Hunter and Johnson, so if you don't like Johnson I think it's logical to have Barron behind Hunter, but that still doesn't mean that he's worthy of a top 10ish pick just because he's your 2nd best CB.

I don't have my RB2 as a top 20 prospect just because he's the 2nd RB on my list.

I agree completely. I'm also not prioritizing corner over other positions of need. Not that we don't need a corner with whatever the hell is going on with Diggs, but long term it seems like overkill unless we are planning to move on from Diggs. I wouldn't draft a guy because we have a need at a position for half of a rookie season. That's just sort of silly. So a corner would have to be great value at 12 for me to take one.

The only one I could consider at that point would be Will Johnson, who may be great value at 12 if he is still there. And even that I'm not entirely sure on myself.

Revel is an interesting corner in this draft though. I wonder how highly he will be drafted. Without the injury he'd probably be the second or third corner in the draft and a top 15 pick. All of that to say I'm probably not taking a corner in the first. I might in the second if there is a steal like Diggs was when we took him in the second. But otherwise I'm way more concerned about WR/RB/D-line and probably even LBer.
