I like him a lot, I think there's a scenario where he's even a consideration at 12 if he kills the Senior Bowl and combine.
Yeah at 248 pounds listed, if he is up at 255 and runs well I think he will rise rapidly. He doesn't need to get a ton bigger, just 5-7 pounds will make experts more comfortable.

Parsons is 245. Dont think weight will be an issue anymore. Plus Watt.

Yeah but you know how NFL scouts are. They have these boxes they check. And a 248 pound end will be a LBer in their book. I'm more concerned about how a guy plays than his weight though. You can add weight if needed. And I wouldn't be surprised if he puts on a few pounds just to get up over 250.

Seen a lot of mocks with Dallas taking Starks from Georgia. From what I've read about him, he is a guy with good size and speed, can cover the slot, and support run. Valuable considering one of our safeties can't cover and one doesn't support run very well.

I don't think very many here will like the pick. We could definitely use him but I hope to pick someone else.

I look at safety like TE. Would it be nice to upgrade? Yep. But we have bigger holes to fill. The players we have there already are not disasters that need immediate replacement.

I wouldn't flip out if we did take one of those positions. They are good players that would help improve our team. Just not the direction I'd prefer to go. There is more bang for your buck at other positions.

There's an argument that Starks could be the BPA but I'd rather go elsewhere because I think it'll be close enough with other guys like Jeanty, Harmon, Walker and so forth. A DB is literally bottom of my list unless they're such a slam dunk BPA option that you can't ignore it, like probably Will Johnson.

Starks would not be my first choice. But then you look at Hooker’s shelf life.

Pop in the replay of Booth attempting to cover and you may rethink DB in the first. Remember who knows when Diggs will be back.

Pop in the replay of schlubs like Oruwariye and Butler playing well down the stretch before getting injured. Booth was singularly terrible but he was also like the 7th CB down the list and a last resort, as long as Lewis is resigned we can get by with him, Bland and some Oruwariye-like schlubs until Diggs is back.

I'm fine with a DB in the 2nd onwards, just not in the 1st. And I'm not just blurting these things out randomly about positions, I've already watched most of the guys who are likely to go top 20ish in detail and I know there aren't any DB's worth taking at 12 besides Johnson and Starks.

I'm just not high enough on Starks to take him over the other guys I expect to be available.

I wouldn't be upset exactly, he wouldn't be a reach, it'd just be kinda meh because I think there are equal or better prospects at more impactful positions.

Smart move.

I thought it was a really bad decision for him to enter the draft as he is not NFL ready.

Same goes for Ewers, who is also supposed to enter the portal.

I think that's the right move for 2 guys that aren't polished enough to go to the NFL.

I think I'd rather Tyler Warren. And I'm not advocating TE at all. I just can't take a Georgia safety who doesn't get lots of INTs with their crazy pass rush.

I feel more confident at what Warren does at TE though.

Don't confuse legit stud corners with a safety. You tell me the guy is an Ed Reed type safety? Sure. 1 INT and 3 passes defensed? Feh I just can't take that limited amount of plays out of a safety. And I get that his freshman and sophomore years were better. But I could be wrong Georgia's defenders always throw me off.

I think I would as well, pending combine testing and such.
