That is the literal definition of stroke. It only looks like he has stroke. He is being given what he wants to go down his way.

Its not as much stroke as it is consolation. He sat by and let Moore drive for 3 years. That is the literal definition of stroke.
I don't think he had a choice. If he wanted the job, he had to do this.He sat by and let Moore drive for 3 years.
I know, and thus MM had no stroke.I don't think he had a choice. If he wanted the job, he had to do this.
Even Parcells made a deal with Jerry to give Quincy and Hutch a shot when he probably knew they both sucked.
I don't agree with that.I know, and thus MM had no stroke.
kindly elaborate.I don't agree with that.
He may not have had enough stroke when he was hired to oust Moore, but he did after a few years. And then he obviously hired his own replacement.kindly elaborate.
Of course he'd sink. Look at him. Now, let's see if McCarthy sinks or swims.
Bobbers are fat too.Of course he'd sink. Look at him.
yes, it took 3 years and not moving past the divisional round for Jerry to allow it.He may not have had enough stroke when he was hired to oust Moore, but he did after a few years. And then he obviously hired his own replacement.
It took him 10 years plus and a ton of 8-8 seasons for him to finally move on from Garrett. I'd call this progress.yes, it took 3 years and not moving past the divisional round for Jerry to allow it.
Then brought Testeverde and Bledsoe in.I don't think he had a choice. If he wanted the job, he had to do this.

Old age and losing will do that.It took him 10 years plus and a ton of 8-8 seasons for him to finally move on from Garrett. I'd call this progress.
Imagine if he'd gone with Romo in 2003 like Payton (supposedly) wanted to.Then brought Testeverde and Bledsoe in.
yay.

That is the way normal and sane organizations are run. We just aren't used to it here, so it's easy to blame Jerry for any hire.

I mean, if you want to let your HC succeed, you don't force anything on him. Let him hire his guys ad if he sinks, he sinks. What you can't do is force Moore on him and then almost immediately handicap him by trading away his best offensive player for peanuts.IamTheVoiceofReason????
