Kristi Scales, who does know what she's talking about, said before the game that Dowdle was making it, that the only question was if Davis would play well enough to make them keep him also.

I hope she's wrong and they just keep Davis. Keeping four RBs when those last 2-3 cuts will already be tough seems insane.
No way I keep 4 RBs. What would the point be? These guys aren't future starters. I like Davis, I think he could be a nice backup RB but why keep Dowdle around as well? Seems like Davis can do everything Dowdle can do and be a third down RB. I think Davis covers us better in case of injury. Which is really all we are using either guy for.

I don't understand why they supposedly like Dowdle so much. I guess special teams, but why couldn't Davis do just as well?

I didn't follow the draft pundits this year, but I ask again, why wasn't he considered a higher pick? 6-4, 260+, 4.46 40, production in the best conference... Why wasn't he a first rounder at least? It can't all be the domestic thing, or was it?

Can we flush the 60+ yard field goal attempts though? Maher might he able to make one but it's probably like 10% of the time or less.

Agreed. Nice if your guy can hit it if you're desperate in a game at some point. But the 45 yards and in kicks are the ones I care about.

This dude is going to be the real deal.

I love the guy. I think I said this before but I just get the sense beyond the talent and whatever else, I think he has that eye of the tiger in him.

Should that save him, though? It was about the easiest pick you could ever imagine... the QB just threw it right to him.

He also had another bad PI penalty.

I doubt he gets cut though, it sounds like the coaches really like him for some reason.

He's probably ahead of Joseph right now, isn't he?

The media says so. They act like of the two, they might actually move on from Joseph. But they also insisted just a couple of weeks ago that they liked Ridgeway more than Bohanna, which anyone who paid any attention at all could see was wrong.

To my eyes, Joseph at least has ability. He can stay with his man, he just has to make plays on the ball. Wright gets tied in knots by anyone with quickness, plus he's a penalty machine.

So I dunno. :shrug
