I don't know what difference it makes but I want camp to have 0 drama unlike past years. You know that stuff can mess with the team and Jerry loves it because it's a talking point for the media.

Weird situation here, I can't tell if this is a sign of good faith or some sort of ploy by the agent.

I'll say this, if the agent doesn't make a huge stink about all this between now and the season I think it's a good sign that there's a bit of a gentleman's agreement that something will be worked out after this season if Pickens is on his best behavior.

If it goes the other way I could easily see them just strong arming Pickens into playing this year and getting whatever they can for him in a trade next offseason.

Yeah honestly I'm not sure either. I guess if he follows it up by participating in team activities it's a good sign. It does fully guarantee the salary once he signs it but other than that I'm not sure what it really matters.

I assume we won't see him until TC, if he's sitting that out like Parsons then it's an issue.

So now that he signed it I think you can fine him for not showing to the mandatory stuff but I could be wrong.

And obviously you can also trade a player once they sign the tag...

So who knows what the motive is. I actually think Pickens would show for camp but not sure I trust his agent.
