Extending Pickens

Holy fuck, they just might trade him tonight. Why else would he sign the tag? He couldn't be traded without a deal in place or the tag signed. Please don't be for peanuts. God damn, Jerry. Haven't you caused us enough fucking pain?

I mean technically a contract doesn't have to be in place but odds are one will be. Just wait for it to be straight up for some vet LBer or some bullshit. I really have no faith in this team to get good value trading away a player.
The fucking Giants can get pick 10 for their stud coming off the worst year of his career. Dallas got a fifth for Cooper in his prime. Makes me uncomfortable.

I guess I'm the only one fine with trading him if we get enough... :shrug

Even if we trade him for two number ones, there will still be people bitching about trading him.

So in that vein... I hope we trade him for a conditional 7th.

I am if we get more than Waddle went for.

I am not if we get less. Don't give me a fucking second round pick and tell me that's ok.
I do wonder how much the massive contract he'll demand affects it. He's a much better player than Waddle, though.

I'll say this, not to put a damper on our bitch fest but there is one additional reason he might sign his tender this weekend other than to facilitate a trade.

The cowboys begin offseason workouts on Monday. If he plans on attending he'd presumably want to sign his tender first.
