Not to say this is a definite philosophy or we won’t draft Bain, but there’s an interview with Parker from about a month ago on 105.3 The Fan where he specifically insinuates that short arms are a problem.

His comment starts around the 14:30 mark

Good find. I guess Bain is out.

Mayock (I know, I laughed too) was on 105.3 and he had a good point that the short arms are a problem, yes, but if you have another elite quality that can overcome it, it's okay. And he said Bain has elite power that can get him into an OT's chest where the arm length doesn't matter.

Actually a decent interview considering MM is kind of a punch line now.

I wonder how they feel about short arms at safety as opposed to edge or corner.

I guess we will find out this draft just how much Parker cares about arm length. I mean our scouts are going to rank the players but I feel like Parker is going to have the biggest say on which ones actually get picked. I also feel like he has probably had a big say in those final rankings. Parker doesn't strike me as the type of guy who is going to sit back and let the scouting department operate independently.

A lot of talk about trading. They're clearly very open to it.

Jerry also says offense is on the table despite needing defense more and referenced drafting CeeDee.
If Mauigoa or Love are sitting there at 12 you’ve gotta think about it.

Big needs at each position and huge value to draft either.

I’m a believer in depth on defense vs a few stars. Take the BPA on defense after you draft Love and the team will improve overall.

Love is a dynamic playmaker who can get to the outside or cut between the tackles. No flaws in his game, and a game breaker too.

At this point i want bain gone before the Cowboys pick. I cant stomach a TJ Watt repeat

I mean I hate to say it but if we aren't going to pick him I feel the same way. This is an obvious special talent in this draft. Probably even more obvious than Watt was at the time. If we won't draft him because he doesn't fit into some special box we have designed, then I think we are doomed to repeat the failures we have done time and time again in the past.

Good news is I think there is about a 0% chance Love makes it to 12.

Mauigoa is only a possibility because of the back. And I'm OK passing on that. We don't need an Olineman starting his career with a back injury.
