And yet somehow we completely bottled up Barkley the first time and were decent enough against the Eagles, not to mention the Bears traditional running game outside of Fields.

We have the personnel to be average to above average against the run, it's a matter of attitude and Quinn and the players swallowing their pass rush pride and prioritizing stopping the run above all else.

Quinn has always tended to go with lighter personnel groupings but I feel like both he and the players need to adjust and refocus themselves. The primary pass rushers in particular (outside of Lawrence) need to come back to reality and get serious about the run instead of daydreaming about their next pass rushing opportunity.

A few of us tried to tell you last season and about the dumbass no rhyme or reason 4th down calls but some didn't want to hear that last year.

And just as we said, it would cost them a game at some point.

That's not the only reason they lost, but there was no reason whatsoever to go for that right there.

Again, this is the absolute wrong focus.

Did you people see the game winning GB drive? They would have scored a TD had they needed it.

Kicking the field goal would not have helped.

Yeah, kicking the FG against Rodgers would have been conceding defeat similar to the 2016 playoff game.

Correct.

I can't fathom that people are coming away from that game even thinking twice about that decision. There are a million other issues from that game. It's extremely obvious to me that we lose the game if we kick that field goal.

Im not excusing it but I can see a reason behind it. How many times does Rodgers do this? How many times does Rodgers do this to us? Try not to give him the chance. Any other QB and I think he kicks the fg but Rodgers was on fire. Only way they were going to win this game in OT was to score the first TD. No way do we hold them at all against Rodgers.

Correct, and they literally didn't keep Rodgers from getting inside the 10 on the game winning drive. They'd have clearly scored a TD if they needed it.

And given it's Rodgers AND the defense just came off giving up 2 4th quarter TDs, it wasn't difficult to predict the likelihood that they'd do it again.

I can't believe this is even an issue.

We're definitely going to draft a WR in the 1st again next year though, so that'll be good.

Maybe that'll be enough to make Dak an elite QB.
