2022 Season | Week 10 | Gameday Chatter Thread | Cowboys @ Packers | 11/13/2022

This is why I am going on record right now.

This team will not advance beyond whatever playoff appearance they might be fortunate enough to get to.

This was a game where they could have stepped forward and become a team to reckon with in the conference.

Instead, we turned completely soft and embarrassed ourselves.

We will just be content making it to the playoffs in back to back years.

Maybe we should talk that up as a reason we lost.

Sober up. We all know there's not just one play or one thing that results in a loss.

That play contributed combined with a litany of other things.

Bland having to play that many snaps hurt.

Our rush defense sucks, but DQ is the man. Or is he?

Dak bad throws or the receivers running bad routes? Who gives a shit? Somebody fucked up and that's all that matters. Can't happen.

That Packers team has no business being within 14 points of us. They had their backs against the wall. Had a good game plan that was run focused. And we let a rookie WR have his coming out party against us. Fuck them.

No joke. Micah should have minimum 1, maybe 2 holding calls against him each game. Bullshit nothing ever gets called.

That game sucked. I'm pissed.

105.3 saying, in his press conference, McCarthy said that Kellen Moore and him decided they were going to go for it as early as second down.

Brad Sham says ball was not traveling well in the weather.

Fuck, we haven't gone back to back since Romo's breakout season with Parcells to Wade's first. 15 years.

Even the Texans have gone back to back three times in the last 15 years.

Jim Mora should be mocking us even discussing Super Bowl.

You can thank Aaron Rodgers for one thing.

Aaron Rodgers > thigh slap

We can go back to 100% hating the thigh slap

Thigh slap and I didn't start this thread.

Just remember we're 1-0 when we have.

Jerry Jones press conference

JJ: They were able to really give effort, give Packers credit. They were able to run the ball. Very disappointing loss. Everyone associated with the Cowboys are frustrated, rested and ready to go, and couldn't make it happen.

Q: 14-point lead lost add to the defeat
JJ: It's frustrating. We're healthy. Coming off the bye, We've got our guys out there. They fought back and fought hard and at the end, couldn't get our plays.

Q: Play or two where you felt it wasn't going your way
JJ: Not really. As late as the OT. My frustration was in the OT. Again, give the Packers their due. They know what they need to do. Crowd was into it. Again, disappointing for us.

JJ: Big win for the Packers. We'll have to dig deep and get things out of this. Help ourselves. In no way, I'm not dismayed for our season. Give credit to the Packers

JJ: I can't go to one play here. Just generally, the frustrating part is really having it, coming back out, way we answered the bell in second half and then have it slip. Give the Packers credit. I know how disappointing it is for Mike and I know the guys in locker room are sick about this.

I don’t give a shit.

they did us a favor by fucking up the end of regulation. too bad we didn't take advantage.

Looking at the standings, it'd be a catastrophe if we missed the playoffs.

Essentially two teams have #7 seed today with 4 or 5 losses (depends on 49ers outcome tonight). Other team is Washington.

After that, five teams with 6 losses.

Really needed the Bills to win that game. We got screwed by the Rams last week too. Oh well, if we had taken care of business today ...

Not following you.

Now that we have three losses, why do we need Bills to win?

As long as Bucs win their division, it doesn't head-to-head affect our Wild Card chances.

We need every NFC competitor to lose whenever possible.

This loss is directly on the Fucktard Jones Hillbillies. Have never addressed the NT position, let our best WR go, and have stuck the franchise with Dak.

Justin Herbert just got some brain cells knocked out there.

Shouldn't be a penalty, though.

Wow. They called it still.

This is true although the mentality on defense needs to change.

They're like an offense that just wants to pass, pass, pass with running the ball as an afterthought. They want the glitzy plays and stats but don't focus enough on the importance of the run (or stopping it) and how staying balanced with the run (or forcing offenses to be imbalanced) is what leads to those big plays and glossy stats.

I meant that catching them record-wise (aided by a win next week) might have been feasible had we won today.

As long as Bucs win their division, it doesn't head-to-head affect our Wild Card chances.

Every Bucs loss meant an outsider like Atlanta might catch them, but that's dead now..
