2026 Draft Week Chatter Thread...

I guess it is time to call it a night.

Be like me and thank our Lord that we got Dee Winters.

Remember that we are all blessed.

If I had to guess we aren't really going to use him as a traditional ILB playing 60 snaps a game.

I bet the idea is to use him situationally in clear passing situations on disguised blitzes, with his value coming as a guy who can blitz/bring pressure better than most ILB's, but who won't embarrass himself in coverage like most pure edge rushers.

I think we wanted a big ILBer, sort of why Quay Walker was actually the LBer we offered more money to in free agency. Similar physical profile maybe to Zach Baun of the Eagles in terms of size and speed.

I could definitely see him being used like Baun who blitzed quite a bit and was also an edge/traditional LB tweener coming out that teams didn't really know what to do with.

Might take a year to get there but I could see him and Winters being in a bit of a timeshare a month or two into the season.

Yeah I'm kind of curious to hear the presser because I am curious where they plan to play him. Versatility with him which sounds right up Parkers alley.
