For the record, Barham isn't as big as Styles. And Styles is going to be an offball LBer. And Barham has played there before, so I hear. Not that I watch a lot of Michigan football. Maybe @Plan9Misfit can chime in a bit more on that.

He played more off ball LB at Maryland before he transferred to Michigan. In Michigan’s defense (which is the same scheme as the Baltimore Ravens), he played both the “elephant” pass rush OLB/DE position and ILB.

If I had to guess we aren't really going to use him as a traditional ILB playing 60 snaps a game.

I bet the idea is to use him situationally in clear passing situations on disguised blitzes, with his value coming as a guy who can blitz/bring pressure better than most ILB's, but who won't embarrass himself in coverage like most pure edge rushers.
