I don't understand the concept of using grape jelly as some sort of ingredient in Barbeque sauce.Second wave of the potluck was today.
Lookit, I am not trying to be an asshole, okay?
But what people are proud of in terms of their cooking is sad.
Today, the guy was bringing his wife's ziti and meatballs.
The meatballs were turkey. The sauce was odd tasting. Turns out grape jelly was involved.
It was like cocktail meatballs intermixed with Ragu.

Fucking disgusting is what it is. When someone has no fucking idea how flavor works, I take it personal.Cincinnati is famous for their chili having cinnamon in it. I think some people just took the concept into their spaghetti as well. A hint of it might be all right but a lot of people are clueless when it comes to seasoning.

Funny you should say that.Whatever happened to casserole followed by fingerbanging a coworker in the supply closet?
I get for the meatball thing mixing it with chili sauce. But spaghetti sauce?I don't understand the concept of using grape jelly as some sort of ingredient in Barbeque sauce.
People overthink cooking sometimes. Sometimes it's better to go with traditional. Sometimes you fuck it up when you try to make it better. Just leave it the fuck alone.I get for the meatball thing mixing it with chili sauce. But spaghetti sauce?
And what is it with people making what should be normal food sweeter?
