What is left in the tank?
He could probably still be a productive backup if a team uses him properly.

Reducing his workload to about 7-10 carries per game will probably yield a better version of Zeke than what we've had the last 1 1/2 seasons. Dallas' problem is they were still giving him the workload of a lead RB. And as a result he'd be worn down and useless by the time December rolled around.

Get him to the goal line and he'll score a TD.

I bet all those highlights are from his first two years.

His best game was that Pittsburgh one... his rookie year.

Yeah, we rode the shit out of him but I don't think he took care of himself like he should have. He was all downhill after his rookie and like second year.

He was by far the best RB in the league for 3 years and should've been in a Super Bowl as a rookie if we didn't have a complete gump of a HC, might've even been able to make a run at it in 2018.

2017 went down the drain because he got that ridiculous suspension from the Mara's but he was easily the best RB in the league that year too. 2019 he was still really good, elite, but again, that season went down the drain largely due to having a completely incompetent, unqualified HC despite having a very talented team.

We all know what 2020-22 was, the wheels more or less just fell off. It's not his fault the team re-signed him but to this day I will say that I'm happy they did, because if they hadn't and he sat out a few games, I'm certain Jerry would've used it as an excuse to bring Garrett back.

He and the team would've achieved much more without that piece of shit fraud hanging around the franchise's neck as an anchor, but it's all prologue now.
Jerry and Stephen wasted yet another star.

So honest question, if you sign a guy, can you have a bonus that kicks in June first or is that something that counts against your cap right away? Seems to me like you could have a guarantee kick in on June 1st with whoever you sign. Basically allowing you to spend the money now, but not really spend it until June 1st.

Yeah I'm not even sure I agree with that. Just too many yards left on the field with him.

Nose rings again.
Feels like the Cowboys missed a golden marketing opportunity with those nose rings.

Nose ring day at AT&T stadium. First 15,000 fans at the stadium get a replica Zeke nose ring.

Or nose rings for sale in the Dallas Cowboys pro shop.

Jerry's gotta be kicking himself.

Churn and burn, baby. Out with the old, in with the new. Eagles said good bye to Darius Slay, a 3-time pro-bowler.

I’m not sure how anyone could watch this and deny Zeke has fallen off a cliff. His speed is all but gone.
It's not just speed. He has no ability to shed a tackle anymore either. The best you can hope for is when he is touched that he can fall forward for an extra yard.

And unfortunately, it was dramatic.

But I think some are going all romantic on his last couple of years just about as much as we wigged out after his rookie year.

That was special but as he demonstrated, it was very specialized and honestly looked like his highlight runs at OSU. Boom, right up the middle and he could split the pursuit with his speed. That was all but gone after his first four years (fat) and then his lack of field vision and then the overall decline of balance was it. He could not escape hits anymore.

It takes a rare back to play a decade and take that kind of punishment.

As someone else mentioned, his inability or his basic refusal to take care of his body ultimately did him in. Fat, lethargic and disinterested seemed to be what he became after the big contract.
