Jury is still out on Guyton and Im not ready to say that just more experience will fix his problems. Maybe it will or maybe he will keep having mysterious issues and penalty issues.

And there's some question marks about whether Banks would fit better inside. I just don't see him as a clear cut stud BPA who would justify spending yet another first on the OL (would be 3 in 4 years).

There's an argument that it could allow us to get rid of Steele but I think it's unlikely they cut him, and they could still do that by playing Tyler at LT and Guyton at RT.

I love investing in the OL so I wouldn't be upset about the pick, but at some point you need to ask the coaches to do more with what they have, similar to what you see in SF and Green Bay where they rarely have multiple high picks on the line, and I think that's where I'm currently at.

I don't think Banks will be there at all, an OL is going to go top 10 somewhere and he projects better to LT than Campbell in my opinion.

Let's say we're picking at 13, you have 2 QB's, Hunter, McMillan, Banks, Jeanty, Graham, Carter, Johnson, Starks, and Harmon, that's already 11.

Then you have a bunch of edge rushers in Williams, Pearce and Walker, on top of a few other DT's like Grant and Nolen, and maybe you even throw Warren in there if you're feeling frisky, so there will be good options for us one way or the other.

The edge rushers are all kind of lumped together and I think the DC hire will kind of determine how I have them ranked. Walker in particular is the most scheme-specific but he's very dynamic as a pass rusher, not sure why you seem to hate him so much.

Georgia players are weird and hard to judge. Usually you see a guy with 6.5 sacks or whatever and it's hard to picture a guy being a top 15 pick. But the Georgia guys never seem to have big sack numbers.

I really think if you watch Walker though you'll see a guy that dominates as a pass rusher. Power, speed or whatever he beats the OT. It's the 245 pounds that freaks people out. But honestly he looks thick and strong as hell.

On the flip side you want to talk Mykel Williams at our pick and I'll tell you I hate the player. He is not a good pass rusher. He may be big and athletic but he doesn't look even a fraction of the pass rusher that Walker is.

Of course I hated Travon Walker at Georgia too and he has become a solid 9-10 sack DE. So maybe you can just develop a guy like Mykel Williams and I'm an idiot for hating him. But I wouldn't take him, I don't see him ever being an impact player.

I think there are lots of similarities between Williams and Travon Walker but I need to see him test like an alien the same way Walker did, even still I think the absolute highest I'd have him is basically even with Jalon Walker. I could see a case for Williams depending on scheme but at this point I have both Walker and Pearce ahead of him because I just don't see the natural burst/explosiveness around the edge the same way I do with the other two.

As for Walker, I've watched a bunch of him and feel like him and Parsons could be really dynamic. I want to see confirmed measurements though and not his weight necessarily. I want to make sure he's a legit 6-2+, and not like 6-1.5, and I also want to see how long his arms are. A legit 6-2 and 33+ inch arms would lock him in as a strong consideration, but if he's 6-1.5 with 31.75 arms?

Could be an issue.

A couple other random things on Walker, he's an excellent QB spy and probably at least 2 if not 3 of his sacks came that way, which would come in handy against Daniels and Hurts over the next few years. Get a few fire hydrant type DL to 2-gap and hold blocks and let Parsons, Walker and Overshown wreak havoc.

He also led Georgia in sacks both of the last two years, and even the two years prior where they won B2B titles, Georgia didn't have anybody with more than the 6.5 sacks that Walker had this year, so even though the numbers don't pop it's just the nature of Smart's defenses.
