Yeah I mean I'd rather develop him than Noah Brown but that's not saying much.Simi got dinged after having a good TC as a second year dude. He should compete for 4th/3rd spot or GTFO.

We can easily get rid of Gallup after next year if he looks like he did last year again, so that's kind of moot for me. At any rate, this is the time to focus on winning right now, so making a move that benefits us for a year or two while potentially boxing us in 2 years down the line is something that has to be considered. This is where I am at. If they were free agents it would be a different ball game. But Ceedee is a year away from a massive raise. Gallup is eating up a chunk of change. What we really need is a young up and coming WR to pair with Lamb who could be cheap for the next 4 years.
With an older guy I don't know that the Cowboys will want to pay Lamb 18 mil a year from now, Gallup 11 mil and then another WR 15+ mil. Which means that you're really only having this Corp for 1 year. Now maybe Gallup gets cut after this season. But you'd still be paying your 1 and 2 receivers a lot of money.
I'm good with a 1 year rental but I'm not giving up a premium pick to do it.
Don't underestimate my sneakinessI mean it was originally a reply directly to me. That produces a notification so I'm pretty much going to see it regardless.![]()
I cut Brown, he’s gone this year finally. Definition of progress stopper, holdover from a failed regime.Yeah I mean I'd rather develop him than Noah Brown but that's not saying much.
Yeah I mean I think if I'm going all in its Hopkins for me. He is a really good route runner and has size. I just can't give up a second round pick. I'd do a fourth this year or a third next though. We can easily get rid of Gallup after next year if he looks like he did last year again, so that's kind of moot for me. It's not a stretch to say that we'll be the best team in the NFC next year if we add just one or two legit difference makers, whether through FA or the draft.
Arent the Cards trying to offload his salary?Yeah I mean I think if I'm going all in its Hopkins for me. He is a really good route runner and has size. I just can't give up a second round pick. I'd do a fourth this year or a third next though.
I'm sure, he is marked for like almost 30 mil against their cap. His base salary is 19 mil but we can probably convert some of that to bonus to lower his number. He has 2 years left on his deal so it wouldn't be awful. The bonus money hits the Cards instead but they would still save about 8 mil on their cap this year.Arent the Cards trying to offload his salary?
I wonder if you get two notifications if you reply to someone and tag them in the same post, @Genghis Khan.I mean it was originally a reply directly to me. That produces a notification so I'm pretty much going to see it regardless.![]()

Nome saying, @Genghis Khan?

Fish? Yeah don't believe it. I hope no one runs with his bullshit again.
I refuse to believe this.
Breer is the one who reported that he turned down a "solid offer".

This is all a bunch of nothing. I'm sure at some point the Cowboys made some offer to the guy.Breer is the one who reported that he turned down a "solid offer".

I mean I don't think anyone here dislikes Schultz. It's just that we don't want to pay him 14 mil a year on a long term deal. I would have offered him a contract too but it would have been below what he will get in free agency by a significant amount.Yep. It's PR
Yeah, it's literally a joke by Ricardo Morales and frankly not a very good joke either. But before anyone speculates if this is real, the guy says he made it up as a joke.
From the fake news department.
Who the fuck is Ricardo Morales anyways?Yeah, it's literally a job by Ricardo Morales and frankly not a very good joke either. But before anyone speculates if this is real, the guy says he made it up as a joke.
