So, what…apparently we have a line to 30M in cap space, with another 8-12M possible on top of that and even more if Dak is extended with a new contract? Should be plenty to resign Wilson, add a couple dynamic FAs, and go into the draft ready to get difference makers with our picks.

How bad does PT and Goof really want to win?
If Rodgers goes to the Jets there’s only SF with an unsettled QB situation and the Eagles in our way to a SB. It’s now or never I believe.
Are we fixing the WR situation? We can get by at TE with Ferguson.

Wilson is more versatile and the better overall player, Kearse was and is awesome in his very specific role but Wilson can do more and is our most explosive hitter in the entire secondary, Quinn often referred to him as one of the primary tone setters on defense in terms of physicality. He was a man possessed against the 49ers crashing down on all the Deebo action.

I get the argument that he should be valued somewhere around the same price as Kearse, and I wouldn't blame them at all for letting him go if he gets somewhere around $8M elsewhere, but I think that's fair value for him and I'd be fine giving him something like 3/24.

That'd make him something like the 20th highest paid safety alongside such luminaries as Marcus Maye, Tracy Walker and Rayshawn Jenkins.

That's plenty fair to me.
All Camo Hat has to do is take care of his own.

Free agency and the draft breakdown will say a lot. The smart thing would to bring back the defense as intact as you can via signing our own and then using the draft for the offense.

Doesn't help when the media breaks down how much they save by restructures. They see that 30-40 million and what else are they supposed to think? Just say they reworked so and so contract to get under the cap.

You have to baby most of our fanbase.

The less you expect the less you will be disappointed. I bet we don't even sign a free agent for 2 weeks. By then it will be guys just worried about having a job.

That was my approach last year and going forward.

As long as you understand the significance of the Jones family gathering, you will realize how free agency and the draft will work.

Radio silence for the first two weeks. Then once the carcass has been stripped to the bone, here we come to "feast".

We don't even feast at that point. We attack the remains like an anorexic girl.

Piss off, you better draft a real dude.
Im counting on Gallup getting his health and game back to previous levels. He should be a solid 2nd receiver. We should draft someone to compete with the rest of the group: Tolbert , Fehoko and Shrimp Turpin.

I'm not even sure if Gallup returns to form that a Ceedee and Gallup combo is enough. You definitely need a high end three if Gallup is your 2. He just isn't that dominant.

2020 Gallup and Lamb would be enough as long as we have a good to very good TE, if not then a 3rd WR.

We need 3 legit weapons, whether it's a 3rd WR or TE.

"Counting on" is not a wise course of action.
