I still say he's more meh than most. I don't know what his 40 time will be, but he never struck me as that fast. I was more impressed with Breece Hall and Kenneth Walker.

Maybe Robinson can be kind of a James Conner type, though. Not the most explosive but pretty strong and good all-around.

I'm probably not that far from you. I like Robinson and think he would be excellent here. But I don't view him as some sort of a top 5 talent who just happens to be available at 26 because he is a RB. I don't know that there is a ton more special about the guy than the Walkers and Jonathan Taylors in recent history. Both RBs who I thought were excellent coming out. Break away speed, great build, really good power.

His backup Roschon Johnson is a really fun watch too. I wouldn't be shocked to see that dude have a really good start in the NFL either.

Lewis should be fine. You're talking about Bland, Lewis, Diggs and Mukuamu. I'd roll with that group any day of the week.

Brown is a little more iffy. And I'm honestly sort of writing off Wright and Bossman as busts but I guess they will have another camp to prove something.

I don't love Lewis and I do like mukuamu but he hasn't been tested long term. On top of that, imagine we get a couple injuries at the position again.

We need at least another CB.

Yea, another mid rounder and potentially resigning Brown to a 1 year very cheap deal to let him rehab.

I'd be fine with CB if they're BPA but there's absolutely no reason to push it if there is a similarly rated DL, WR, OL, etc.

Keep swinging in the fifth and sixth round. It seems like our lucky area for DBs. Wilson, Mukuamu and Bland have all been better than our higher DBs except Diggs. Corner and safety are definitely positions that when we sit back and just let it come to us we do great. When we act like it's a need, we appear to fall flat.

I generally agree, but like anything else, it depends on who is still available and what trade offers are on the table. If he’s the top rated player and there are still ample players at other areas of need who can be had later on, or as long as we don’t fleece ourselves in a trade down in the Clampett’s outthink-the-room style, then I can live with it.

If the value isn't there outside of RB, and we have a chance to trade down, I would rather trade down than take RB.

As would I. It’s a solid RB class to begin with, so my preference would be to trade down as long as the Clampett’s don’t fuck themselves on the trade.

One thing I would look at with McCarthy taking over the offense is adding a fullback. Mike has talked in the last couple of years about how he prefers to use a fullback (or at least a blocking H-back as opposed to just another TE). He had all those guys in Green Bay who were effective in that role.

Wouldn't be a high pick, might even be a UFA, but maybe something to look at. I've looked at the draft sites, but has anyone seen a player or two who caught there eye? @Cowboysrock55 I saw one guy from Iowa who could be good enough. @NoDak I also saw a couple guys on the list from North (and South) Dakota who might make it. Anyone watched these players?

Hunter Leupke. A very good all around FB for the Bison. NDSU basically tailored their offense around him this year after losing their top Wrs last year. Think a better rushing option than Daryl Johnston. Now, I’m not saying he will be as good as Moose, but his blocking and receiving style is very similar.

I have no idea how high he will go in the draft, but wouldn’t be shocked to see him sneak into the 4th round. I feel he’s more a fifth or sixth, since he won’t be a feature back but more of a niche player. But I wouldn’t mind having him on this team.

Good special teamer, too.

Also, Leupke missed the end of the season with a shoulder injury, so the Bison didn’t have him in the playoffs. But reports say he should be fine and ready to roll by spring.

Good stuff, NoDak. First thought was is Leupke big enough, but then I looked it up and Kyle Juszczyk is listed at basically the same size.
