Charbonnet is my favorite in the 3rd range, if we're talking day 3 guys my favorites are Kendre Miller, Chris Rodriguez, Kenny McIntosh and Deuce Vaughan.

I wouldn't take a RB before the 3rd unless Robinson is there in the 1st or Gibbs is there in the 2nd.
I really like Vaughan. Probably no chance the Cowboys take him just because of his size.

Guy runs really tough but doesn't look real explosive to me. Reminds me a bit of James Conner in running style. Would compliment Pollard great.

You're probably not getting an immediate contributor unless you take one in the first 2 rounds, which is why I'd rather see what it'd take in a trade for someone like Cooks rather than feeling like we absolutely have to go WR with one of our first picks.

If we don't add a vet I'd look at a slight move up in the 2nd for Downs or Rice if they get within our range.

Yea although if we bring Elliott back you never know, maybe they feel more comfortable with another smallish scat back with Elliott around to slam up the middle.

I don't think he is a guy to complement Pollard with. Just not enough mass to move a pile.

He is a guy who you take a shot on as your third RB but may be nothing more than a gadget guy. Not sure you can do that even with Zeke on the roster. Just too much temptation to still make Zeke the "workhorse" that he isn't.

The Tolbert pick really stings. If he just had shown some promise as a rookie and earned some playing time there would be hope that maybe he is ready to step up. Right now I have no evidence to say he is anything but a bust. Puts us in a tough position of getting an old veteran and hoping or forcing a pick in the first two rounds.

You can't just do the same thing again and assume some middle round WR will be legit.

He isn't but we may not have Pollard.
Yeah and while I wouldn't go out in free agency and spend on a RB. I guess hypothetically if we let Zeke and Pollard walk and signed a good free agent bell cow type back that the little guy could make some sense. Nothing against the RB, I think he is a good player but when you're 5'6" 175 pounds you basically start the conversation with gadget player and anything over that is a bonus.

And it's not so much the height, it's the weight. If the guy was 205 pounds or something it would be a different conversation. But everything I have seen about his college playing weight is that it was like 176 pounds. At this point even if he came in at 205 pounds I'd be concerned that he wouldn't be the same explosive dude.

Yeah I'll have to watch him. It's just hard when you don't have anyone to compare him too. Sproles is maybe your best comp but he was still at least 190 pounds. And even still then, his best rushing season was what 600 yards? But he was an excellent receiver which is where a guy like this is really going to have to succeed.

He ran for 1400+ each of the last two seasons while also being an excellent receiver out of the backfield.

The guy has a place in the NFL. Or at least I think so. But I'm just not sure how well he fits us unless it's like a sixth round pick flier type. Which I'm ok with. But we need a different RB as well.

This just makes sense, right? Team owner Jerry Jones loves star running backs, going back to his days of drafting Emmitt Smith in Round 1 in 1990, and he repeatedly has said Ezekiel Elliott is the Cowboys' most important player. Well, Elliott could be a salary-cap casualty this offseason, and Tony Pollard -- who made the Pro Bowl this season -- broke his left leg in the divisional round and is a free agent. Could Jones and the Cowboys start over and take Robinson, the best back in this class, here? Robinson also is a great pass-catcher, so he's more than just a between-the-tackles runner. He could also take some of the pressure off quarterback Dak Prescott.

I thought hard about defensive tackle with this pick, with Bryan Bresee (Clemson) and Mazi Smith (Michigan) as two possibilities. Dallas struggled at times stopping the run.

This is the wrong year to go and look to drafting pass catchers.

We would be better served to address with a real veteran, not a James Washington-type.

I think it depends on what type of pick you're talking about. If I had a top 10 pick I would certainly agree, this is not the year for pass catchers. If Johnston, Addison or Smith-Njigba is there with a late first though, totally worth it. After those three Downs, Hyatt and Rice seem like excellent second round picks but sort of not worth the first. I also like Zay Flowers a bit but again all depends on where in the draft we are talking. I haven't really dug into the rest of these guys beyond that. Still have a long process to go.

Yep, I'd take Addison or Johnston at 26, no questions asked. Njigba I have to see test well before I felt really comfortable, other than that I'm not going WR in the first unless Downs runs like a 4.32.

Of course this also depends on who else is there, like if Bresee drops he's an auto-pick as long as his medicals are clean.

I'd move up for Downs and maybe Rice in the 2nd.

Thoughts on Hyatt? I love how explosive he is.
