PC over.

And damn, boys... I'm pretty excited that Kellen might not be here. Sounded to me like Mike would like to make a change if possible (Jerry). His reaction to all the Kellen questions was completely different from his reaction to the Quinn question.

I'm not either, but I'm way more optimistic than I was a few hours ago when it came out that Carolina wasn't hiring him.

I thought Mike would just throw out some generic platitudes about Kellen, but Mike didn't even throw much praise his way. That surprised me.

And I have to say, I don't think think Kellen is a total idiot or horrible coach or anything. He might do well somewhere else. It's more that I think Dak needs a new voice and a non-BFF to coach him. And most of all, we need to cut the Garrett connection.

I'm guessing McCarthy is considering replacements but would only get rid of Moore if he could get a preferred candidate. I doubt they'll fire Moore then start a search and see what happens.

Some of these departures are weird given he's going into the make-or-break year. I guess the lure for an OC would be - do well, and you will have a shot at the HC job if we decide to go in a different direction.

As far as Edwards and Davis go, I guess it is easy to see that since their contracts are up, Jones was not going to move on with them.

I don't have an issue with that. The real thing here is whether or not they added value, or if they impacted things negatively. I think they were great to have around for culture, but is there any example of how they impacted the game on the field?

Given their history with McCarthy it is pretty clear to see this was low level nepotism and Jones played along.

Perhaps there was some thought to this.

I am to lazy to look, but how many top shelf head coaches have to have two staff members with "assistant head coach" titles?

Maybe times are tight with the Joneses and lopping off a couple of Fat Mike's butt buddies is a logical cost-cutting move.

Shit. I did not think of this.
I thought of it, but I don't think it would be that bad as long as Mike was the real OC.

I'd really like someone like Kubiak's son, as long as he ran the same thing as his old man.

Brian Schottenheimer would be a horrible OC for our situation. Hell, McCarthy might even bring back Muppet McAdoo since Carolina probably won't retain him. That could also be the source for the OL coach in Campen.

I'm trying to be somewhat positive, Mr. DFDC.

That is important to note. I never paid attention to the underlings on Dallas' staff, but this fuckin' guy seems like a cockroach.
