The team came pretty close this season to contend for the SB. With a few changes to the offensive lineup it’s possible they could have gone further but we will never know because the current QB isn’t consistent and you never know which one will show up on game day . San Fran is on target with a rookie QB but he is consistent. It hard to say he will remain that way but the Dallas QB has established himself a while ago that he is streaky and you never know which one will show up. Thats why it may be difficult to revamp the schemes or it may not be but what is predictable is that you don’t know what game Prescott will bring.
I'll just say that Kellen doesn't have a good track record of adjusting. He doesn't adjust well to what the defense is doing, doesn't adjust to his QB's limitations, and he doesn't adjust to the game's dynamics.
His offensive "philosophy" is, like you say, dependent on a QB being consistently great.
So with an Aikman or Manning, he might never need to adjust his playcalling.
Working with a mid-tier QB, though, he's got to call each offensive series differently.
Instead, we continue to have one of the most predictable offenses in the league...so much so that it's basically a joke.
I do agree think that if we had Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow, Kellen Moore could get us to the Super Bowl with his offense.
