This should be the game plan whether it's Dak or Rush back there, these fools have convinced themselves that Dak is some sort of elite tier, top 5 QB in the league when he just isn't.

They're doing this stuff to shield Rush, which is fine, but play action and making passes look like runs is a foundational principle of Shannahan and McVay's offenses. There's no reason to deviate from that no matter how good you think Dak is, it's just sound football.

No reason to go 5 wide and let a guy with only above average arm talent sling it all over the field.

If I'm being honest the drop really pissed me off. Not because he dropped that ball but because of the big old smile on his face after he did it. It's like these players who lose a game and then go out to midfield and yuck it up with the opposing team like it's all fun. I want a player to look pissed off if he drops a pass, not to act like it's no big deal.

I was thinking that we should ship him off for a 3rd when he dropped it, maybe a bit of an overreaction, but if he continues to be inconsistent I would definitely gauge the trade market depending on how this years WR class turns out.

If we're picking at like 20 and Jordan Addison is there, bye bye (but try to have the parameters of a trade lined up beforehand so you don't give him away for nothing like these morons love to do).

No. That drop was horrendous. It went right through his hands and either is a TD or leads to a TD if he doesn't drop it.

I think that entire drive of his made up for it, but he cant keep dropping balls like that especially ones that go 30 yards down the field and set you up in 1st and goal when offensive points are at a premium.

No. That drop was horrendous. It went right through his hands and either is a TD or leads to a TD if he doesn't drop it.

The problem is his TD catch was a first down play from the 1 yard line. I feel pretty good if we ran it we could have pounded it in. So no that amazing catch doesn't make up for the drop. Now his catch before that while less impressive did lead to the next play which was the TD catch.

Basically his entire game sort of made up for the drop. But that TD catch, while amazing, was more about giving Lamb the score for getting us down there. We would have scored regardless unless we had a penalty of some sort. To be honest it was kind of a dumb play call. Why throw a 50/50 type play when you can just ram it up the gut for a yard.
