Watching some of the Giants game again and I would hope the idea is that Peters is ready for more snaps.

There was a big difference how we looked running the ball with him in there versus Farniok.

If I have seen one thing, old grizzled ass technically superior lineman that play into their late 30s or whatever rarely get tested. And I mean not just by their physical opponent, but even sometimes the opposing coaches.

Peters has that HoF in waiting rep and the Giants players sure as shit were respecting him.

Another thing is that I noticed is that there were more than a few plays where the Giants just didn't even bother to send rushers at Tyler Smith.

He would be kicking back into his set and then...nothing.

That is kind of a compliment, I guess. Or poor blitz design.

One thing Quinn did is throw the kitchen sink at Evan Neal and they broke him down pretty good.
Yea they need to start Peters as soon as he can handle playing 60+ snaps.

Farniok has played admirably, much better than I would've expected, and I love that we have a guy with his versatility as depth on a rookie deal for a few more years, but Peters has to be playing over him.

The interesting thing is that McGovern seems close to a return, that's much more of a tossup vs. Peters.

Peters has been a great addition. When Mongo comes back , we’ll have great depth. And a killer swing tackle.

It's not a coincidence that Lawrence and Armstrong were feasting on these guys.

There aren't many OL around the league who can contain this pass rush unless they can build an early lead and pick/choose when to pass.

Yeah the best way to stop our pass rush is to force us to use Parsons as a traditional LBer instead of a pass rusher.

I just got done watching all the snaps Jihad Ward has played against the run this year, and generally he's been really solid setting the edge (particularly against the Titans) and is something of a specialist in that regard for the Giants, but against us Smith went against him 1-on-1 several times and easily rooted him out.

Smith still has a good amount of room to improve in pass protection but his run blocking is already very good and will likely be elite by next year.

I remember the infamous video where the blocking sled kicked Jaylon Smith's ass. Parsons blew the sled up way, way more than anyone else, and it looked like he was barely trying. Some guys' nerves are just wired different.

Well Smith got paid. Parsons will get paid but he has some personal pride and is not a clown.

looks to me like he might have the better overall career than Elliott.
