he’ll be fined
nope he wont they will apologize for the bad play and thats that. Ridiculous it was every called and when reviewed they will see their mistake..i was there in person an this hit got the crowd on their feet only to be screwed by the blind refs..

yup that let the drive stay active and turned the game around, horrible call..just bad targeting type , roughing, etc should be challengeable..i mean if they dont review it how do they know its actually targeting like in college..if you say it was helmet to helmet PRIVE IT..apologizing for these mistakes on Tuesday wont cut it..

too big a play to ignore and not reverse..

those last 14 points came after extending drives over bad calls..refs made sure this wasnt and embarrassment to the ratings..ughh
Unlike PI or holding, these aren't really judgment calls. Either it's targeting or it's not. Seems like an obvious thing that should be reviewed. Hell let New York review it and buzz down, I don't care.

exactly nothing subjective about it

i believe that and say roughing the passer should be reviewed if they BELIEVED the qb got is in the helmet and many times he was NOT..gets old..

Hard hits are almost automatically flagged nowadays, whether they're legal or not. The notion that you have to let the receiver catch it and take a step or two before leveling him is absurd.

I'm pleasantly surprised with Osa but he's still in early Tyrone Crawford territory until proven otherwise. Yes I'm aware the most sacks Crawford ever had was 5, I'm just saying -- mid round DL, early success, a bit overdrafted. There are similarities. We will see, don't want to get ahead of ourselves penciling him in as a cornerstone just yet. A four year rookie contract is a long time.
Crawford had 0 sacks and 0 TFL as a rookie and even in his breakout 2nd season in 2014 (really his 3rd since he sat out 2013 with an ACL I think), he only had 3 sacks and 6 TFL.

Osa has 2 and 2 four games in, so while there are surface level similarities, I think Osa is way beyond where Crawford was as a rookie and maybe even in his "breakout" year.

At this point I'd be surprised if Osa didn't get close to or even surpass Crawford's career highs in sacks/TFL (5.5 sacks in 2018 and 8 TFL in 2016) as a rookie.

Osa is his own man. Tyrone Crawford has zero correlation to Osa’s past 4 games, next 13 games and years beyond.

Coaching is different, scheme is different, player is different

Yeah, worst officiating in pro sports.

Speaking of which, I was watching the end of the Atlanta/Washington game and on the Falcons final drive, they complete a pass down the field which was setting them up for one last pass into the end zone.

As Matt Ryan is trying to get up, the Washington defender is clearly holding him and holding on to the ball doing everything he can to cause a delay. Even the ref is trying to take the ball away from him! And yet it never occurs to that official that he should throw a flag for delay of game.

Ryan is able to spike the ball with 1 second left and he immediately starts yelling at the ref and for good reason. Even the commentators were wondering why they didn't throw a flag.

I just don't understand how the NFL has allowed for the officiating to become so poor and why they just accept it.

It's unacceptable for professional referees to be as bad and inconsistent as NFL officials are and its only made worse by the fact the the league coddles and protects these guys and never hold them accountable.
I saw that. Unbelievable that wasnt a penalty of some sort. The refs are terrible, and getting worse. Look at the hitting a defenseless receiver BS yesterday on us. At some point you wont be able to tackle anyone.

The Panthers looked like a rested and very well prepared team through much of the 1st half.
I assume that's why they came out so physical compared to us. But as the game went on that wore off and then we were more physical

Smitty isn't used to players actually panning out for us.

It's going to take time to build trust for some who have been burned over and over again.
That’s all of us. We’re all traumatized.

Days to prepare for that game:

Panthers - 9
Cowboys - 5
Yea, I could easily argue that we've already played the two best teams in the NFC South, the 2nd best team in the AFC West and the 2nd best team in our division (after us obviously), and we're 3-1, and basically a play or two in that Tampa game from 4-0.

There aren't many teams left on the schedule better than the Bucs, Chargers and Panthers, probably only the Chiefs and Cardinals are even in that conversation, maybe the Raiders.
