Good for Stafford. It’ll be interesting to see how much that downtrodden franchise sank Stafford and, to an extent, Megatron.

I really just wanted to snub my nose at one of the few remaining franchises that haven’t Championship Game’d it longer than we have.

crap. that probably means one less QB will be drafted before we pick. It'd be nice if four QBs and two WRs went off the board before 10.
McSay’s recent mock prior to this announcement had only two QBs taken in the top ten.

Recall that Detroit picks 7th and would probably now take a QB that Dan Campbell likes.

The ream that trades for Stafford would be a veteran team like New England or New Orleans vs the teams drafting top 10 (maybe Carolina or Denver would, but why for just two years?).

Hell, if we can’t sign Dak, we might be one of those teams drafting a QB

The team that trades for Stafford will likely be a good team like SF that had a bad year. I would think Stafford has a say on where he goes.

I know, just trying a funny. I'm sure that was behind the 6 year deal that people were scratching their heads at.

He thinks this is the NBA and he's James Harden... nope to both.

The only way they eat the contract is for some really premium picks that allow them to nab a top QB and add additional talent.
And that’s all but unacceptable. They are way over the cap and then they’ll have to eat a bunch of amortization on top of things creating a financial windfall for whomever they trade him to.

It’s nuts.

They need to splash some water on Watsons face and show him the reality. He’s a Texan, period.
