Snacks. Dareus. Thomas.
Bring them in.
But what about the inept offense that can’t score more than 17 points with supposed pro bowlers all over the place???
That’s the common sense of it, lost.I agree. But let's just hope the chaos of training camp, the lack of a preseason, and all the injuries caused a lot of issues for the new coaching staff. Hopefully they can iron shit out over time.
McCarthy’s first outing is a fail.
It’s a long season, though, but we should have done much better tonight.
Can anyone tell me what our gameplan was tonight?
And this is still a 10000X better staff and situation than it was with Garrett.
Pfft. 25-39, 266 YDS, 1 TD + 30 yards on 3 carries while getting hurried hit and sacked regularly. That throw to Gallop should have won it. He's a B or a B+.
Yea , I assumed McCarthy objectively would've been interested in hiring Moore one way or the other but the recent talk of McCarthy having to learn the offensive verbiage makes me wonder how much of it was simply to smooth the transition. Then of course you throw COVID in the mix and there's no way of knowing who exactly is influencing the offense. It's hard to know how much control or influence Moore has on the offense in regards to the overall design, game planning and playcalling.
Maybe he has way too much or maybe his influence is overstated. But this is exactly why I didn't want him to come back.
I wanted any and everything that had ties to Garrett's awful, stale, predictive, and conservative offense to be wiped from this team.
One of the things that was most excited about was McCarthy and his staff coming in and bringing in an entirely new system and philosophy. But because Moore is still here, we are now going to be left to wonder all season long whose fault it is for X, Y, and Z.
I saw way too much tonight that resembled the poor offensive performances of the past so I can't help but feel like that is because Moore has too much say so in what we are doing on that side of the ball.
I hope McCarthy takes over the playcalling and the gameplans sooner rather than later.
My only complaint with KM is they didn't chip the DEs more to help out Steele. He got isolated a ton. There are ways to avoid that. We could have kept in a tight in as well. If we have one we trust in pass pro. It's hard to know how much control or influence Moore has on the offense in regards to the overall design, game planning and playcalling.

What game were you watching? You can't throw deep when your QB has 2 seconds to throw the ball. Our line was hobbled and it affected our gameplan and the playcalling. It's not like we didn't try to throw deep it's just Dak got sacked when they tried. Williams and Steele were both leaky and Dak was getting it from both sides of the line.I hated how much we threw short.
The Rams did too, but they did so with their receivers having space to run with and with their eyes up the field.
We settled for far too many hitch and out routes where our guys were basically catching it and getting nothing else.
What a shitty and conservative gameplan that was.
Not so much deep balls, but, essentially doing what the Rams did to us offensively to neutralize our supposed pass rush. Except we could do it more effectively with our cadre, as opposed to Robert Woods, Cupp, Higbee and Malcolm BrownWhat game were you watching? Thanks for the automatic L for you starting this thread.
Your slate is no longer cleanBooze thinks it’s bad luck for me to start it. But, what he isn’t factoring in is we are starting with a clean slate this year with this new coaching staff. Same here at the DCC.
