Must See Movies

I really like Olivia Wilde but I'm not sure about her as wonder woman. I'm not sure that wonder woman could stand on its own two feet as a movie. After the big comics and super heroes I think they might start reaching. The big three in my opinion are Superman, Batman, and Spiderman. Ironman has been great but I wouldn't expect that type of value from Aquaman or Wonder Woman.
They are getting stand alone movies with the only purpose of explaining their back story and set up the Justice League. I can't imagine the studios thinking a Wonder Woman trilogy will be in the works.

Wonder Woman would be a money maker. They would market the empowered woman thing to teenage girls and Olivia Wilde in hot pants to teenage boys (and me).

Olivia Wilde (though hot) lacks boobage for the job.
Maybe Adrian Grenier...?

They really need to get Jennifer Lawrence. Not just to give the movie a boost, but Justice League needs some star power to make it go. The new Superman is an unknown to most Americans and I doubt Bale will sign on for Batman.

Isn't Lawrence already Mystique? I don't think comic geeks appreciate repetition.
Can Kate Upton act? Would anyone care?

Captain America played the Human Torch, and those are both in the Marvel universe.

A question to kick around... Who would play Wonder Woman?

Marion Cotillard might work if she weren't already in Batman. Jennifer Lawrence might be too obvious. Olivia Wilde?
I'd really like to see a relative unknown play the part. Cavill is/was kind of that when he was cast as Superman. Bale was on the rise, but not a huge star. I'd prefer someone who did not have some kind of background already.

That girl who played Wolverine's girlfriend in his stand alone movie...and was in John Carter...she would be good.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Confirms He Will Appear in "Terminator 5" as The Terminator
By Tanya Ghahremani | Jun 13, 2013 | 4:42 pm |

We told you this past January that Arnold Schwarzenegger had officially confirmed his involvement in the upcoming Terminator 5, but it wasn't too clear at the time exactly how he would be involved in the project. Now though, according to Schwarzenegger fansite, TheArnoldFans, we may have our answer—in a new interview, the former governor of California, confirmed a few big tidbits of news:

"In fact, I'm very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star AS the Terminator, which we start shooting in January and I'm also going to do King Conan - to play that role and also to do another Twins movie. So I feel very proud of that. I feel very happy and I'm looking forward to doing those films."

OK, there's a lot going on there, so let's sift through this information. Firstly, Schwarzenegger just confirmed that he will definitely be starring as the Terminator in the upcoming Terminator 5, and that should begin shooting in January. However, he's been talking about this project for ages—and as Slashfilm points out, this isn't confirmed by Paramount yet. Even if the studio does end up picking up the film, it has no director, so it's not completely clear if this start date is actually going to stick.

Also, how is anybody going to explain that a the Terminator, a robot, aged significantly?

Moving on: Secondly, he's still attached to Universal's Conan the Barbarian reboot that we told you about last October—but this project also has been in the works for ages now, so there's no telling when that'll happen.

And third, a sequel to his 1988 film with Danny DeVito, Twins, is apparently still happening even though that sounds like it's going to be a horrible idea. Maybe Steven Spielberg was right, maybe Hollywood really is imploding. Because, when a Google search of Triplets results in an article about how this film will star Schwarzenegger, DeVito, and Eddie Murphy as experimentally conceived triplets, there is something deeply wrong with the film industry.

We're going to take some time to let this all sink in, now.

I'd be skeptical if it was just those two, but if you throw DeVito in the mix, I'm pretty confident it will be solid.

I'm considering taking my nephew to see Man of Steel next week. Can someone who sees it give an opinion as to whether there's anything violence or language-wise that would make it inappropriate to a pretty intelligent kid who is almost six? My first movie in the theatre was the 1990 Batman when I was six, and I though it might be cool to take him. Thanks.

I have seen some say it is the best ever...and some less than stellar reviews. We'll see, but I think certain critics have alliances to Marvel and DC, so they rate those films accordingly. I know I have always liked the DC characters better, so those movies are just better to me.

I am going tomorrow morning at 10, have some IHOP before, then into the theater. This is easily my most anticipated movie since TDK...Prometheus was close.

Some reviews I've read make it seem like the reviewers wanted the old gee golly Superman who smiles and cracks a joke as he catches Lois Lane, but it's been obvious from the beginning that this one is much more serious.
