I still hate him and don’t trust him. He’s benefited from elite WR cutting this year. He’s been okay, though.I credit myself for trashing him after he started poorly.

Everybody hated Snyder, so that was a big part in the local DC government stifling things, then there was the name thing which was a sticking point for them as well.So Ravi and Simp, why have they not built a new stadium in the nation's capital ? Cant be a financing issue.
Bass is a future starter at either LG or RG, Hoffman seems like a guy who is just solid depth who can swing between G/C, which would still be really valuable.
This is my thought exactly. I think Asim has a future here as well. I think we have some solid young guys moving forward. Hoffman is too weak to start but like you said, a backup guard/center can be very valuable.Bass is a future starter at either LG or RG, Hoffman seems like a guy who is just solid depth who can swing between G/C, which would still be really valuable.
I don't think we'll ever want to go into a season penciling Hoffman in as a starter.
Assuming Tyron retires, this is exactly what I would do. Bass to LG, Tyler to LT. Some serious power to run behind on the left side.Makes one think that maybe it is time to move Tyler back to tackle.
Edit: I'm talking about next season.
Site location has always been the issue, and I think after years of searching Jack Kent Cooke landed on suburban Maryland because it was the first available that checked all boxes he could build while he was still alive. The RFK site requires coordination with local DC government and the federal government since I think the National Park Service or some such actually owns the land, although now that the Wizards/Caps are heading to northern Virginia I assume DC will be more motivated to bring them back to the city.
Any options outside of DC, either in MD or VA, would be in a holding pattern since the preference for the team has always been to go back to the city.
I agree we need our best player at LTMakes one think that maybe it is time to move Tyler back to tackle.

I don't think so.Those iconic shots of RFK stands shaking as Washington fanatics are screaming "We want Dallas!" while finishing off another team... yeah that's a bygone era prolly never to return.
They hated Snyder with a passion and wouldn't cooperate with him on stadium proposals. That's why he was looking at Virginia when he still owned the team.(I think the commonly held opinion was the DC Mayor's office dropped the ball).
Ummm…no. He is a face painter.Bass is a future starter at either LG or RG, Hoffman seems like a guy who is just solid depth who can swing between G/C, which would still be really valuable.

What has he shown to make us believe that? Seriously. I don't remember him looking like a can't miss type player during whatever little playing time he got in preseason, or whatever. We complain about our FO overrating our players, then turn around and do it ourselves. This is my thought exactly. I think Asim has a future here as well. I said I think it'd take 10-15 years of sustained success to get back to that intensity, which is of course a long time, but I didn't say it's impossible to get back to. It's definitely an NFL city if the team is good, and like any city the intensity ratchets up when the team is winning.I don't think so.
Look, you and Simp live there so you know that region better than I do, but my wife grew up in Arlington so I've been out there plenty of times including during the faggy Joe Gibbs return era.
Those people love that team and when the Redskins are good, it's a huge football town/region.
I think if Redskins got back to being a good organization and produced a consistent winner, I have zero doubt that they'd all go back to being emotionally invested and highly intense.
Let's hope that day never comes.
If Tyron retires, sure, although I think in that scenario there'd be a really strong chance that we'd take a LT/LG type in the first like we almost did with Bergeron last year.Assuming Tyron retires, this is exactly what I would do. Bass to LG, Tyler to LT. Some serious power to run behind on the left side.
He looked good in preseason. I liked the guy as a prospect in the draft as well. Look I'm not penciling him in as a starter. Certainly not at LT. I'm not sure how saying a guy has a "future" here is overrating him. What has he shown to make us believe that? Seriously. Oh, I have no doubt they are a passionate fanbase.I think if Redskins got back to being a good organization and produced a consistent winner, I have zero doubt that they'd all go back to being emotionally invested and highly intense.
He's a late 5th rounder that has never played any significant snaps against actual starting caliber NFL Dlineman. Until we actually see how he does against that, projecting he has a future here is overrating him. Just my opinion. He looked good in preseason. I liked the guy as a prospect in the draft as well. Look I'm not penciling him in as a starter. Certainly not at LT. I'm not sure how saying a guy has a "future" here is overrating him.
faggy Joe Gibbs return era.
