Period. And I've lived entirely in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma my entire life. I've been as far as Austria to the East, but I've never traveled West I guess.

If you are looking to go to West Texas specifically I think the Fort Davis/Marfa/Marathon area is kind of a cool place to spend a few days. Quiet. Real quiet. The Davis Mountains are interesting and the star parties at the McDonald Observatory are really cool. A musician friend of mine tells me I need to see Terlingua too so the next time I go out that way I'll try to hit that up.

Before the oil market went to shit, my wife and I were actually out in Katy looking to buy a home in the new Firethorne subdivision.

There's so many homes being built around there, it's crazy.

When I was there you had to go to a place called Leveland. Not sure about spelling.

I've been all kinds of places east, but never been too far out west.
 
Damn, you guys need to get out west! Colorado, California, the Pacific Northwest, Vegas...

I have never been to Wyoming/Montana area though. Was supposed to go to Yellowstone when I was a teenager but we had to change plans because it was on fire. Would like to get out there someday. I may end up settling in the Pacific Northwest when my daughters are well into their 20s and I sell my house in Austin, so that would be a good opportunity to visit that area.

I went as far north as I have ever been this year when I went to Baltimore.

It's Levelland, and that place is called WayneBo's. They named the town and liquor store Hootersville but had to change the name after pressure from the Hooter's restaurant people.

Yeah, there are some cool places out west. I especially loved Boulder when I was there. I get to go to Portland this next year, which I think will be really cool.

Boulder is absolutely gorgeous. My sister lived there for 9 years before she moved into Denver so I have spent a lot of time out there. I usually still go up there and spend a day during most of my trips to Denver.

Portland is a great city. Love it. Seattle too. That whole part of the country is beautiful.

My wife and I plan on vacationing in Boulder soon. Really love that place.
