That had to do with the coach in that instance. Romo wasn't thinking Jerry in that moment. He wouldn't have done it with Parcells.

Maybe the NFL should just eliminate hits on players smaller than you.

Don't know how that gets implemented, but that's a key thing for boxing, wrestling, UFC and many other contact sports.

Blaming the defense does not remove one iota of blame from Garrett. He's head coach of the entire team, not just the offense. Plus it's his responsibility to manage the game, which his is horrible at.
