NBA Chatter Thread

The Lakers are nothing but a bunch of sad frontrunners.

I was interested in last night's game vs Detroit because I wanted to see how the team responded after all that Redick tough talk.

They beat up a bad Kings team the other night, but that doesn't count. Last night was their first real test against a team with a pulse since JJ's Christmas day meltdown.....and just like the frontrunners they are, they let go of the rope early in the 4th quarter. Blown out at home on Lebron's birthday. :lol

Other than 3 or 4 players, the Lakers defensive effort is awful.

Luka fits right in with this bunch. Because all they care about is the offensive side of the ball.

LeBron isn't a legitimate player at this point, he's a top tier supporting guy who doesn't play much defense because he's 41.

And Doncic doesn't play defense at all, not going to go far with that sort of combo.

They really should remove those seats at courtside. They are dumb to even have there in the first place.

Flagg beat Mark Aguirre's rookie single game scoring record last night. Same night the Mavs retired Aguirre's jersey number. Pretty cool.

And in those sweet throwback unis. I had a green Aguirre shirsy tank top just like that. :fistpump

:lol It never ends.

Seems like a bad idea to give up Garland, isn't he a good young player? And Harden is ancient.

Rumors that they are trying to put together another All Star team for Lebron the Baby again, I guess.

And Harden is going to want to be gone in like 6 months.

I don't follow the NBA as much as I used to. Is this a good trade for the Mavs. Because it seems like a good trade.

I mean, the players they're getting back are kind of 'meh,' but the picks are probably what they wanted. I could be wrong, big deals like this are confusing sometimes.

Edit: Getting rid of Davis was a must. He should not have been part of any deal involving Luka. They got robbed.

Agreed. I think davis is a fake superstar and that's big that they get out from under that contract.

Bagley and Middleton are nice role players but the big deal is the firsts and I'm a little surprised they got so many for Davis at this point.

But my guess is that Washington is betting on being much better and those picks being later in the round. I'm not sold on their future but we'll see.

That said I don't know if these are conditional fake firsts or whatnot. They could be (maybe likely) heavily protected.

@Genghis Khan

What's the deal with this guy? Seems like a lot to give up for someone who's averaging 6 points a game.

I'm shocked they got that much for him.

He's better than he's played but he's had some injuries and has been trying to play himself back into shape.

Good shooter who has struggled to get into a groove this year, in part because they have a bunch of guards ahead of him. Once they drafted Edgecombe, McCain became expendable.
