Yea screw it. It's over. It took me a while to admit it, but here it is.

Doubt they trade him with them trying to get Otani. I really doubt they will do much selling with the new stadium looming. They are going to do just like KBrown said the Astros did a bit back in the thread. Try to stay competitive but not a real threat to do much.

Glad to see the Braves walk into Dodger Stadium last night and pull out a win. Atlanta's been one of the better teams in baseball since the calendar flipped to June. They've held their own against the Nationals this year and recently swept Arizona, but they've been slapped around by some of the other big boys (Astros & Cubs). So it felt good seeing them get the win against the hottest team in baseball.

I'm curious to see how the White Sox tank job turns out. They have amassed a really impressive group of prospects as a result but the problem with prospects is that they don't always turn out. You might have 10 of the top 100 prospects in baseball but now you better make sure that you picked the right ones. And man are the White Sox going to suck in the mean time. They have gutted most of their pitching in the process.

I will trade deGrom to the Astros...I want Kyle Tucker, Francis Martes, JD Davis, and Garrett Stubbs.

Tear it down to the damn foundation

Yep. Until these last 3 games, I had the slightest glimmer of hope, but I am officially on the rebuild train now. Up 5-1 with your ace pitching and lose 9-7.... fuck it, start over and hope your farm league and what you get in return is enough for a good foundation to rebuild.

After signing UCF's top prospect, I hope the rebuild last 20 years.

This method is a ripoff to the fans and a disgrace to baseball, or so I'm told.

It's amazing that the Rays are playing so well and in the thick of it in this division in spite of Kevin Cash. That tool is about to cost them yet another win with his horrible misuse of the pitching staff.

Well, looks like the Rangers are serious about moving Darvish. I'm okay with them feeling around to see what they can get for Lucroy, as well.

As much as I loved to watch him play, there's no way we made those World Series without that Mark Teixeira trade. But if we are going to rebuild they need to commit to it and extract every bit of value out of the current roster they can. This roster isn't winning anything, but there is no reason it can't be used to build one that can. Jon Daniels has lost a few gambles, but I still think he's one of the smartest GMs in baseball.

Yeah, I have full faith in JD. That's why I'm okay with a rebuild. If he were a lesser GM, I might not be so quick to get behind tearing it to its foundation.
