TWINS WIN!! :towel

2-0 Baby! 7-1 and 9-1 wins against the Royals. Good pitching, great defense, and timely hitting.

I think it's pretty safe to say they have to be the World Series favorites.

I've gotta take it when I can.

We have some nice young talent, but I fully expect our pitching to eventually turn my waving towel back in to a crying towel.

I know its just 3 games but it really stinks to have a closer with a 72 ERA....

At least Gallo hasnt been embarrassing. I have that.

The last time the Twins started a season 4-0 was 1987. They won the World Series that year.

So, it's pretty much locked up.
 
Well, the Rangers finally won, so there's that.
 
God damn it. I forgot to add the :towel to yesterday's post. So they lost today.

I probably jinxed the whole damn season.

If there's a jinx to the Twins season, it's probably Byron Buxton.

Damn, that dude is a worse hitting BJ Upton. One or two great plays in the field, great speed in the base paths and a .180 average.
 
Dyson is having a rough start. Yikes. Have up 3 earned runs and his era is now only a 36. He went from untouchable in the WBC to crap in the MLB. Just very strange and frustrating.

Yeah, he was one of the brightest spots in our pen last year. He has had issues this year. I really think teams have figured him out. He only has like two pitches.

Sorry bud for the wrong info. Turns out the Ranger bullpen is a weakness.

Bad bullpen + starters not able to go past 5th inning is not a good combination.

Good thing we can only win games if we score 8 runs. At least we know what the offense needs to do.

Too bad we couldn't combine our teams. Strangely enough, our pitching has been kicking ass, but the offense has been stagnant. Totally opposite of what I expected so far.

I'm up for that because this is just frustrating. We get big leads and cant hang onto them. Guess it's just going to be one of those years.
