End those bastards' season.

Hopefully. But the Yankees have had the Twins' number. Knocked them out of the playoffs the last four times they've faced them. '03, '04, '09, '10. Fifth times a charm...? :lol

The good news is, the only guy from those teams still on the roster is Joe Mauer. The young guys shouldn't feel the history of those failures.

If the Twins can be disciplined at the plate here, they could really set the tone for the rest of the game and get the Yankees to start going to the bullpen way earlier than they want to.

Shit.... I was just hoping they showed patience and got maybe another run out of this, but what I was really hoping for was just for them to take advantage of his lack of control and get him to throw roughly 25 pitches for the inning.

But this is much better!

Twins are one hit away from blowing this game wide open in the first inning.

Yankees already going to the pen.

Couldn't get that one hit, but still a fantastic start for the Twins.

Oh well. Would have been nice to knock out the Yankees, but I'll enjoy watching them get raped against the Indians.

Overall, a very fun season. Winning record and a cup of coffee in the playoffs after a 103 loss season is a nice step. The Twins have some very good, young talent. If we can only find some starting pitching help we should be just fine.

Well, Red Sox and Astros kicks off today.

Sale vs Verlander......what a helluva game 1 matchup that is.

On paper, I think they match up very well. Red Sox have a solid pitching staff and plenty of bats. The Astros staff probably doesn't have the overall depth of the Red Sox staff, but they do have the better starting 5, and they have the best offense in all of baseball. When you factor in that the Red Sox came into the playoffs limping while the Astros came in on a tear, and I think the Astros have to be considered significant favorites.

I'm hoping the Sox pull this off, but if they don't, at least they'd be losing to a team that I have zero issues with. If the Astros win this series, I'll pulling for them the rest of the way.

The city needs it.

Past time to test Altuve....

It is amazing that a guy that is even shorter than me can be that good.

Unreal.

He's the MVP.

Bases load, no outs and we can't get a run in.

But that umpire is blind as shit.

That first at bat with the bases loaded, Morton threw 5 pitches of which one 1 landed in the strike zone. Yet this asshole calls 3 strikes including the last one which was so far out of the strike zone it's laughable.

I can't believe the Astros won that game. Peter Gammons called it one of the greatest games he's ever seen.

I am excited but still kind of shocked.

I think the Red Sox lost the game in the 3rd inning when they had bases loaded, no outs, and couldn't put the ball in play out of 3 tries.

The umpire didn't help, but they still had 2 more cracks at it and still couldn't get a hit.

Congrats to the Astros. Hopefully they finish the job.
