2026 Season | Week 3 | Gameday Chatter Thread | Ravens @ Cowboys (Rio) | 09/27/2026

Let this also serve as another example of how dumb it was to not play our guys in the preseason.

They were worried about injuries and look......we've got injuries galore anyway.

He was very tough on Schotty last night, and it's rare for a newly retired coach to slam another coach. There's usually more deference there. Rex Ryan slammed them too, but he's been retired for years.

According to Grok there are no updates on Revel as they are still settling back from Brazil. The initial label apparently is a hyperextension.

That doesn't mean he's in line to take over though.

Dak calling out the playcalling a bit here.
They also said this morning (I didn't listen to the PC) that they asked him why they didn't run, and he said they couldn't because they didn't have a time out. The media had to correct him that yes they did.

Not that I ever expected much from Von Miller but the young guys (EZ and Lawrence) are creating pressure far more often than he is and I think it's time to consider cutting him or significantly reducing his reps.

I honestly would rather play Houston over Miller at this point and think he should only be playing 5-7 snaps a game at most.
Amen. I saw a time or two last night where he started to rush, saw it was a run play, and then basically just stood there and watched.

After sleeping on it, I feel better about this team. Still pissed about the last 30 seconds of the game.

Yes Schotty was incompetent and is ultimately responsible for the loss.

I was asking too much of Dak. In my mind, we’re paying him Mahomes money and Mahomes wouldn’t let that shit happen no matter what the coach was doing. Instead of dilly dicking around, he would have called the timeout earlier, IMO. He also would not have thrown the ball out of bounds as soon as his back foot hit the ground. He would have at least thrown to the pylon and gave an open Pickens a chance.

Maybe I’m wrong on this but I think he’s been in the league long enough to make an executive decision.
Some things to build on from yesterday defensively. Barham for sure, and Quinnen and Kenny Clark had better games.

The D also withstood on more than one drive-- let's celebrate the 33% 3rd down conversion rate, those three Baltimore punts, and the two 4th down stuffs. We also forced a 3-and-out when Baltimore started once at the 40. But the 2025 D returned on each other 35+ occasion the ST's conceded the 35, 36, 40, or 49 yard line (and once more when our turnover on downs gave it to them at the 43). Baltimore also scored a TD on a 89 yard drive, and drove nearly 80 yards on the second 4th down stuff.

Special teams coverage outside of those four poor/disastrous kickoffs was not bad starting Baltimore at the 11, 20, 21, 23, 24 (right before half), and 25. On average, even with those three terrible plays, Baltimore started at the 32 while Dallas started from the 34.

But we can't have give up starts from the 35+ as our defense just can't hold with that much more of the playbook open.

You Steele critics better get on your knees and pray for his forgiveness.

Steele sucked yesterday, but that right there wasn't one of his bad plays.

Another poor ref decision that screwed us.
