I mean I'm curious but not sure I care that much. It might make me more comfortable if he was our pick. But I don't think I'll be holding my breath hoping we can take him at 12. Part of me hopes he kills it so he can be gone by 12.

I'm not saying I wouldn't take him at 12. Might put him right behind Delane for me. Assuming he runs sub 4.4 and looks great. Just saying it's not like I'll be jumping with joy. Part of me will still wonder if he trusts the knee yet. Sometimes that takes a year of playing. It's why I wanted Revel to play last year even if it was a lost season.

That's exactly why I am interested. And like you said, if he works out well I'll at least feel better if we pick him. He might be the last worthy defender left.

I think I would but only if the top 6 are gone and we can't trade out. At that point I'd rather take a chance on McCoy than take a guy who should be going later, or taking offense.

I can at least acknowledge the guy in 2024 looked destined to be a top 5-10 pick. He has elite NFL corner potential. But like I said before, what makes me nervous is that we will have seen no football from him since the knee was fixed. And it's not unusual to take a year on the field before a player really returns to what they were before the injury.

So while risky, if he is out there running a sub 4.4 I at least will know he should be there for all offseason and camp and have the ramp up to be ready.
