2026 Cowboys Free Agency Thread…

I mean Gary can play DE in a 3-4. But then its kind of like is Osa really out?
At 277 lbs? Surely that would be only a changeup. He's really an edge, right?

Anyway, this has to mean adios to Clowney. This has to be our bigger, stronger edge guy now.

Wonder if this was partly thinking of getting one of those smaller 245-250 lb edges in this draft like Howell, Lawrence, RMT, etc.

4th next year doesn't really bother me. Assuming there's no hidden reasons for his release (trade), he's a really good player. Will Gary be an edge rusher in our "3/4" alignments?

Would have loved it for a fifth.

Fourth hurts a little but when I saw third earlier my heart sunk. Glad to have the player though. I really like Gary. The Packers just didn't want the near 30 mil cap cost.

Its not like we do anything with the 4ths that we do have.

I don't love the fourth, feels like this should be for a fifth when the player isn't announced as a pending release, and a 6th or later when it is an announced release, but, he's way better than Clowney IMO.

A 4th in 2027 is basically going to be a 5th after we win the division and conference this year.

He's going to be a 3-4 OLB, might play with his hand down as a 4-3 DE type alignment in nickel/dime.
