2026 Cowboys Free Agency Thread…

Gary is the guy I wanted in the Parsons deal, to get him for a "late round pick" is a coup.

He's not an elite pass rusher but he's very well rounded against the run and will give you 8ish sacks a year.

It's kind of funny that the Packers have hollowed out their front 7 to make room for the Parsons money.
They will regret it every year he ends up injured and out of gas.

In the deal, the Cowboys gave up a late-round draft pick in 2027 (specifically described as a Day 3 pick, which means Rounds 4–7; some reports specify a 2027 third-round pick, but the consensus from sources like ESPN's Adam Schefter, The Athletic's Dianna Russini, and others leans toward a low-value late-round selection).

Nothing like giving up a fourth for a player about to be released, though.

What, the Packers would rather release him than get like, a 6th?

Seems unnecessary but on the other hand if we had made this deal a week ago before the whispers of him being released came out I'd have been ecstatic, so I'm not going to complain.

He's probably better than any FA edge except Hendrickson.

John Park ran the numbers and calculated he'd still offer more than Trey Lance? :shrug
