2026 Cowboys Draft Chatter Thread

Like they didn't force it with Bossman or Guyton? :unsure

And they didn't force RB because they thought they had it solved with Williams and Sanders (puke).

I want to believe, but I'm afraid Air Quotes believes he's always been doing it right, and he's not going to change now.

I'm not saying it's perfect but I don't think they draft strictly for need and I think they lean closer to BPA more than we think.

As an aside, I don't think they thought RB was solved with Williams and Sanders. At most I think they thought it was maybe adequate but I don't think they anticipated Williams being as good as he was.

Not really. Maybe they have 12 first rounders rather than "16-22".

Well they just so happen to be picking 12th.

Besides maybe they have guys like Aveon Terrel or Colton Hood as a first rounder like Broadous. Dudes who will likely make it to 20. So really even if there are less first round prospects it just depends who those guys are and where they fall.

I don't think it's strictly for need, just watch out for a down lineman earlier than we're talking.

True, it could just as easily mean they should trade down.

People are definitely saying that Styles is the guy the Giants covet.

That said we've heard rumors that we covet moving up for Bailey and I think a couple other guys also.

Who knows how reliable these reports are.

But I do think there's a real chance we move up.

There's too much smoke for it to not be real interest. That doesn't mean it'll happen but I'm sure we're at least exploring it.

I just hope that they wouldn't give up 20 without getting a pick back in the 35-40 range.

I think I'd do 12+20+92 for 4 and whatever the Titans second pick is, although I'd push for like an extra 5 from them to balance it out a bit.
