I'm not sure I've ever seen them have to go back in and redo an ACL before. That would be pretty awful. And I agree, seems like if that was true they would have caught that like a year ago when the guy was more like 6 months into recovery.

But sometimes it does take a season off, and then a season of playing before a guy really gets back to where he was. Wouldn't surprise me if McCoy doesn't look like his old self to start the 2026 season. I don't think that is all that unusual. It's why I try not to be too harsh on Revel last year. I think this is the season where he really should athletically be back to where he was in 2024, before the injury.

I would too. Of all the possibilities I actually think Bain might be the one I'd be most excited about. Assuming the off the field thing is overblown of course. I do think Bain can have a bit of an asshole personality but it sort of fits what he is. A guy who plays football like he hates the living shit out of his opponent.

Well Reese would probably be the one I'd be most excited about but that's like a 0.0% chance.

Totally agree, I think Bain might be the best player in the draft. I'd be thrilled if he's the pick. Unfortunately it doesn't seem likely.

In my mind Thieneman and maybe even Downs would also function as our slot CB to some extent, so it's not just a safety in my opinion.

Totally agree and I do think we need 1 more DB. Either a safety or a corner. I'll take more but in terms of needs, that's sort of how I would classify it. And that's mostly because the starters of Bland and Revel ultimately make me nervous. They are questionable.

Apparently Brugler has a new mock where he has us doing the Cleveland swap that's been discussed, and he has us taking Stukes at 39, who I think is that type of player also.
 
The Cleveland swap that I keep seeing makes way too much sense for the Cowboys, so I figure there’s no chance of it actually happening.
