That was a total shitfest of a trade. They got desperate because of a few interior OL injuries and panicked. Ehlinger was a complete nag that that the Chiefs unloaded on us. And the other UDFA they had that they kept on the roster instead in Donovan Olumba never amounted to much.

That was the worst part. We got back a total lemon in the trade. Not even a backup quality player.

I don’t seem to recall people being upset with the Ward trade at the time. Was just another wgas move at the time if I remember correctly.

That's a fair assessment
A fair assessment and another middle finger to the astute management traits of the Jones brain trust.
Complete narcissistic behavior in their belief that they know what it takes to build a SB contender.

Good point. And it’s odd that a supposed genius GM of an NFL team basically felt the same way a bunch of bulletin board guys felt.

:lol

Super awkward phrasing just so he could put the words "Trade interest in Dak Prescott surprising" together. :doh

Sure but it would be nice for the organization to employ a smart executive who can outsmart not only the fan base but also opposing GMs from time to time.

Well yeah most of us had no idea if Ward was any good. We don't get to watch all of camp and the practices during preseason. We see a few games of scrubs vs scrubs. But the team got to see him and evaluate him.

And most of his work would be caught only on all-22
