Wow. They got them all to sign one year deals?

Makes me wonder if Zimmer was really wanted by another team... Unless there's some handshake deal about him being Coach in Waiting? Hopefully not.
 
First Ive seen or heard about Zimmer's deal. Thats surprising.

It's bizarre unless you just expect to fail and have to hire an entire new staff.

But as said 100x, Jerry hates paying coaches not to coach for him, so I guess this is perfect for him.

Either that or Jerry still thinks back to when he did this with Garrett in 2014 and they went 12-4 and won a playoff game. Funny how then that was a successful year, and now it wouldn't be acceptable.

Anybody who truly thought they'd do anything of substance in FA just hasn't been paying attention to this team over the years.

As I said in the FA thread, this is what our haul will look like, maybe: Leki Fotu, Oren Burks, DJ Wonnum, Anthony Barr, Yetur Gross-Matos while resigning a handful of our own
 
I mean, we have no choice really. You see, we have to pay our own great players, which means we have less room.

And of course we have to pay our own players because we draft so well.

It's not our fault we're so successful.
 
NFL really needs a luxury tax system so you can pay players. Even if it only applies to players you draft. I know this is vague, but you get the point. Then the luxury tax can be distributed to the welfare queens of the league so they can compete financially.

We already went down the AB road, and that was pretty failed.

For them, they can sign five crap free agents instead of one impact one and sleep at night.

Sure, me too. I don't think the guy is worthless. And I only really think 3 RBs in free agency are better than him. I don't really like Barkley. And I'm assuming Henry and Jacobs will cost a lot more.

But the plan needs to be to draft a guy like Estime who can be more of your workhorse and Pollard can go back to his role in 2022. I'll pay 4 mil for what Pollard's role was in 2022. Just find a guy who can average 4 ypc to compliment it while probably having equal to or more carries.
