Because of a salute that nobody but the people that were actually in the stadium saw, with 90% of them being German?
 
I'm surprised there wasn't any buzz in here about that walk-off "touchdown" run by the USA rugby team yesterday in the bronze medal game.

So far for me it's been the highlight of these Olympics.

I don't want to be offensive but what the hell kind of tackling is that? Maybe I don't really understand rugby but it looks like they are pushing the girl instead of tackling her.
 
Katie Ledecky won her 8th Olympic medal today. Winning the 1500m freestyle by over ten seconds, setting a new Olympic record. She hasn't lost this race in over 14 years, and has the top TWENTY fastest times in history for this race.

She's the Secretariat of Women's Swimming.

I'm starting to think Kerr kind of sucks.

Yes, it is. It's also incredible that she hasn't lost this race in over 14 years. She's 27. Meaning she hasn't lost this race since she was 13 f'n years old, while competing with adults. Wow.

That is just pure domination. Should just change the name of the race to Who wants 2nd place 1500 m freestyle.

Just freaking amazing to me. Her accomplishments really should be front page stuff in more than the swimming world.

I don't get how this is even up for debate. If the trans community wants to compete, I have no problem with it. But then let the biological males compete against the biological males. You're not preventing trans people from competing, you're just removing the genetic advantage. And no matter how badly people want to close their eyes and pretend that a woman can be every bit as good as a man at a sport, there are biological differences and advantages.
