Ultimately I don't think this is a serious team capable of winning 3-4 playoff games in a row. It's a good team, very talented, can beat anybody on any day, but I can't see them winning multiple playoff games in a row, especially on the road with the amateur bullshit mistakes.

Two weeks in a row they fumble inside the 5, two weeks out of the last four they've given up a fake punt conversion, Sam Williams constantly committing stupid ST mistakes, two false starts at home tonight, the ridiculous play calling/game management, the inability to run the ball, so on and so forth.

Again, any given game we can beat anybody and maybe it's different if we got two games at home, but with all these little stupid mistakes and inconsistencies I can't see them winning more than two at the absolute most.
Yep. They simply don’t have the talent to overcome the crazy mistakes. If you ignore the plain fact they seem to have regressed over the last few weeks, you can’t ignore the playoff killing combo that they can’t run the ball, and they can’t stop the run. They aren’t SB material.

Yeah, I think if you look at it, this team isn't even that talented. CeeDee and Micah are awesome, Tyler Smith is great, but where else are we so exceptional?

OL, no... Too beat up and getting old.
DL... Other than Micah, not at all.
RBs... Please.
WRs... Many other teams have much better depth.
LBs.. A joke.
DBs... Good, better than most but not some super group.
QB... Dak is probably top 5-6 or so.

No team plays to 100% of its potential, of course. But I'm not sure we aren't that far off . With especially Martin and Steele falling way off and injuries at LB and missing Diggs, I don't see that we're that talented compared to other contenders.

Whole tackle eligible mess would have been moot if McCarthy's final possession clock management hadn't been so completely brain-dead.

When it comes down to whether to keep a coach around or dump him, that kind of glaring incompetence should enter into it. Of course, Jerry is too brain-dead himself to even understand the issues involved.

Lamb is going to demand a mega contract after this season.

If Dak wants to be the highest paid player in football, I fail to see how they will field a competitive team after paying him, Lamb, and Parsons coming up. It will be those 3, and no money for anyone else.

Have I told you guys how much I loathe salary cap football?

It shouldn't have even gotten to that. Had that tripping penalty not been called, the game would have essentially been over then. That's why I have no sympathy for Lions fans.

They tried to pull a fast one and botched it. 68 goes to the huddle first he does not go to report. Goff then signals him to go report as 70 is running on the field toward the ref. The only reason to come off the sideline and not go into the huddle is to report. 70 then runs up and fake reports trying to confuse the cowboys. Then it’s announced over the PA system and the lions run the play. Why did 68 go to the huddle and not straight to report? Also, what was 70 and 58 doing out of the huddle if they weren’t reporting. They drew up a play to confuse everyone and sneak one by and it blew up.

I'd forgotten about this but this happened to us earlier this year and nobody cared. Suddenly the world is crashing down because we benefitted for once.

The outrage is always more when we benefit. The fact that it was the only NFL game played yesterday magnifies the attention too. Pretty sure the next game of consequence we play will have 15 penalties called on us.

and we absolutely need to fire Solari's ass the minute the season is over.
The same group of players mostly played as a good cohesive unit in 2022. Solari's the only real change.

Seems like it should be an easy decision for McCarthy to make.

I don't care one way or another about Solari, but this isn't the same line. Last year was Tyler at LT and Mongo, now it's Tyler and sometimes Tyron. With Edoga a near disaster the many times Tyron can't go.

And on the other side, Steele is not the same coming off the ACL and Father Time unfortunately jumped on Martin.

BS, Mike.

After the CeeDee catch on 1st down, they were already in comfortable FG range for Aubrey. It would have been a 50 yarder if they didn't gain another year. 50 yarders have proven to be chip shots for Aubreymatic.

Run the ball on 2nd and 3rd down. Kick the FG to go up 7 and Detroit gets the ball back and has to drive the length of the field with only 1 minute and no timeouts.

Even Quinn's BS Prevent defense would've been fine in that scenario.

I'm even ok throwing it, but that was an awful play call. Give yourself a nice short play to Lamb, Cooks or Ferg. High percentage throws. Maybe you get the first and it's game over. Maybe you just get enough yards to make third down more reasonable.
They needed to keep the clock moving. I think it was Aikman who said teams driving the length of the field 1 minute and under your chances are like 25% to get a TD. 1 minute and above the chances go to 44%. That’s a huge swing.
