Kind of shocking to see what he is now.
high mileage MF with very worn tires.

Look at the insane blocking he had.I knew he wasn't anything close to what he used to be, but wow, that really does highlight it.
Damn. I forgot how quick he was. This really needs to be his final year as a starter.high mileage MF with very worn tires.
I think that’s some of his issue- he bulked up almost like a short yardage RB, but he really was a better runner when he was lighter. Not sure why he bulked up like he did.He looks so much skinnier and faster. His body shape has definitely changed since then.
That was an all-timer kind of line, though. Almost nobody gets an OL that good. And while this one isn't that good, it's not bad, either.Look at the insane blocking he had.
By the time he got to the line there was a clear backward/sideways movement of the defensive front or a hole already blasted through it.
The play against SF, Martin is like 10 yards downfield crushing someone.
Difference up front is night and day
Easy to throw that out there, but once in a blue moon a player comes along that goes against the norm. Henry is one of those guys. Just like Emmitt was. Crazy durability is not something that comes along at the RB position very often.then explain Henry. drafted the same year as Zeke and had an insane # of carries in HS and college. still going strong.
A fast RB makes his OL look better than it probably is, those holes don’t need to stay open very long when he can get thru there quickly. That was an all-timer kind of line, though. Almost nobody gets an OL that good. And while this one isn't that good, it's not bad, either.
I see things like him splitting the safeties vs the Bengals in the very first play. No way he comes even close to being able to do that today. Today that's an eight or ten yard gain, not a 60 yard one.

I picked Henry because he was from the same draft class and appears to be aging better than Zeke despite a heavy workload. The point is that Zeke shouldn't have been washed at such an early age. Thirty I can understand, but not 26. Frank Gore had 12 years on him yet was swifter than Zeke when he finally retired. This is exactly right. Henry is the exception and not normal at all.

Maybe. But you have to admit the zero to full speed he had in his first couple years is 100% gone.Though he was untouched and at full speed by the time he got to them. Again, couldn't happen with today's OL
Worse still, he has to watch Pollard do zero to 22 in 4.4 seconds.Maybe. But you have to admit the zero to full speed he had in his first couple years is 100% gone.
really?I have to say, this is not appropriate for this thread.
I don't deem Ben f'ing DiNucci "nostalgia" worthy.really?

If only there was a guy around with the power to move stuff...I don't deem Ben f'ing DiNucci "nostalgia" worthy.
I wanted the embarrassment to stand. Yeah, I'm just as evil as you. Let him burn.If only there was a guy around with the power to move stuff...
