36-44 was his Cleveland Browns record and 5-11 was first year with Patriots.

So, take out those games and Belichick is 30-24

What’s Jimmuhs record without Aikman and Landrys record without Staubach?

Why does his time in Cleveland not count at all?

Thank Goodness. Loathe Buck!

How many SB's would either QB's have w/out Landry & Johnson?! In Jimmy's five years at Miami, he compiled a 52–9 record, appeared in five New Year's Day bowl games, winning one national championship (1987). I don't recall Aikman being the quarterback for any of those seasons. Potato Potatoe :p

During a preseason game?
Great question. That sure is what it sounded like.

And let me tell you, I would literally laugh my ass off if I saw them trying to play with those silly things on their helmets.

That's what I was wondering, would be pretty hilarious. Ugly as shit.

I've thought for years that eventually everyone would look like Mark Kelso out there.

Not saying they don’t count, but providing more context for that W-L record. Some might have forgotten he ever coached the Browns and assumed that entire record was with New England.

In any case, while it may be food for thought, is suggesting that stat insinuating Belichick is a mediocre coach?

I think it does more to shine light on the need for a good- great QB to win. When you have that plus a great couch it becomes almost unfair. Even a great coach can only do so much with an OK QB.

Yeah show me a great coach who didn't have a great QB? Now that's a real challenge.

  • Tom Coughlin with Brunell and Manning
  • Tom Landry was successful with Meredith and White
  • Joe Gibbs with Theismann, Schroeder, Rypien
  • Bill Parcells with Simms, Bledsoe, Testaverde

You forgot Quinthy.

This is what a lot of us hoped for. I honestly didn’t think we would get Brady separate playing at a level that would be definitive. Two good years and a Super bowl win later I would say he answered.
I mean it’s a bullshit argument all told. Nothing Brady does is in isolation.

He chose a premium place to parachute into, just like Peyton did in Denver.

It answers nothing.

Let Brady come to Dallas and try to win. He wins here, THEN we know

That's right.

Brady didn't go to a team with the equivalent of Cam Newton as HC.
