Buccaneers Stuff...

And we're going to light these mother fuckers up with no Winfield and probably no Bain.

It'd take a collapse of epic proportions not to put up at least 27.

Spread opened at -9 and this morning, it was already at -10.

The problem is if Downs is playing more safety, that puts Reddy I'm fucking Toast Steward in the slot.

If Durant is healthy I wonder if they would play him in the slot instead.

I'd rather move Bland to the slot and let Durant play outside.

I think I would hold him out for another week. I don't think we will need him this week, and we damn sure will need him later in the season if all goes well.

Someone on the radio mentioned it, but what's with all the hamstring injuries this year? There never used to be many of those. In fact, it used to be sort of a badge of dishonor because that was considered a sign that you weren't in good enough shape.

How do we have all this data from GPS tracking everything today and yet more injuries? Does anyone question this, or is it just "settled science?"

I'd love to hear what old school coaches think about this... although I'm pretty sure I already know.

My guess is that it's probably similar to what we're seeing with pitchers in baseball -- with all of this new science and information, instead of it prolonging careers and making athletes more resistant to injuries, they're going overboard with protecting them and it's having the opposite effect of what's intended.

I wonder if there's any correlation between how much more muscled up players are now compared to the past. Like a lot of the skill position players are just ripped with lean muscle. Maybe an overtraining thing? Maybe you need a little more fat? maybe their bodies are carrying too much muscle weight?

I don't know, not sure there's any science on that kind of stuff that is specifically researched for the unique movement of football.

The NFL really did kind of screw us on the scheduling. This is pretty ridiculous, honestly. But just get a W this week, get a little rest and regroup, and then we can see the next few weeks if we're anything or not.
