It's interesting thinking back on how the defense warped the view of the offense.
The Minnesota game was a really good example. Minnesota's defense was maybe the best in the league over the last month or so of the season, but against us we put up over 400 yards (season high against them) and had 17 points at halftime and 23 at the end of the 3rd quarter despite two missed Aubrey FG's (both 50+ to be fair, but still).
The offense definitely settled for too many FG's but you could argue that our offense put up one of the best 2-3 performances of the year against the Vikings, but because our defense was so god damn horrible (gave up points on 6 of the Vikings last 7 drives) you lose sight of how well they played most of the year.
They definitely had a few clunkers but for the most part they really played well against several of the best defenses in the league (Eagles, Chiefs, Chargers, Vikings, Packers) but no offense can consistently keep up with a defense giving up points on almost every single drive.
