I much prefer Crosby over Hendrickson but I prefer to not pay for what is expected to be the price at all.

In other words let's look elsewhere.
 
The fact that we'd have to give up a major asset or even multiple major assets for Crosby makes it a hell no for me.

I do think he's a little better than Hendrickson but he's not that much better and he's definitely not better than Hendrickson plus a first round pick or Hendrickson plus 2 firsts.

Yeah I don't want to make it sound like I don't appreciate how good Crosby is or what he can do on the field. The guy is a joy to watch. High energy, big, long, can rush the passer but can also stop the run. A very physical guy who is also pretty damn athletic for his size.

I would love to have Crosby on this defense. It's the cost of acquiring him that makes me then go back and go, no thanks. These first round picks feel like our entire draft right now. If we had a second and third rounder I would probably feel better about trading pick 20 for Crosby for example. But we need young speed on defense. And trading a first feels like we are gutting this draft class and the potential depth on this defense.
